Terror in Spain
It looks like another terrorist attack was foiled by Spanish police near Barcelona in the town of Cambrils according to BBC.
Seven people, including a police officer, were wounded when a car was driven into them early on Friday, Catalan emergency services said. One later died in hospital.
The attackers’ vehicle overturned and when the men got out they were quickly fired upon by police, media say. One was reportedly brandishing a knife.
The men were wearing what appeared to be explosive belts, police said, and a series of controlled explosions was carried out. The belts proved to be fake, Catalan regional head Carles Puigdemont later told local radio.
The driver from the van in Barcelona is still on the loose. He’s believed to be Moussa Oubakir, 18, who used his brother Driss Oubakir’s documentation to rent the vans that were used in the two attacks.
Teletrader reports that an explosion which destroyed a house in Alcanar Platja village in southern Catalonia was caused by terrorists trying to build explosives with propane tanks;
Police initially presumed a gas leak was the cause of the explosion that destroyed a house and left one person of Moroccan origin dead and six injured. Neighbors said two brothers of Maghreb origin lived in the house.
Head of the Catalan police Josep Lluis Trapero, however, said on Thursday night that the Alcanar Platja explosion is related to the van attack in Las Ramblas in which at least 13 people were murdered and 100 injured, some badly.

It may be that one reason American Westerns are so popular in Germany is an appreciation for the “cowboy spirit,” and the wish to exercise it freely.
The belief is that if one dies in Jihad, one goes directly to paradise with all sins forgiven.
Wearing a fake boom-belt and taunting police until they deliver a head shot is apparently considered “good enough of a try” to count as Jihad.
Thus, a bunch of no-life lowlife losers think they can con their imagined version of the Almighty into providing the express First Class E-ticket ride to Paradise.

That is some -really- fouled-up thinking.

Thank God the Polish and Japanese have at least shown us how to prevent having Mohammedan (I like that term because it can be offensive) violence – basically, not let them in your country in the first place. Not that we will follow their wise path, but at least it’s there as an example if we choose to get our head out of our butt.
The Japanese are not responsible for christian terrorism in the Middle East. ANYONE – including people of Muslim faith from ANY country can visit Japan. The Japanese also do not allow CHRISTIANS to immigrate there. It’s is their policy and unlike America and Europe – they do not NEED immigrants to fuel their economy or replace an aging population who indigenously, does not reproduce enough to sustain a stable population.
New terror attack now breaking in Finland. Someone went on a mass stabbing attack of people in a public area; many injuries reported so far. Dollars to doughnuts it was committed by a someone of a certain Religion of Peace…

Saw all the hoora over the President condemning Muslim terrorism… people thought he should have condemned the American right ASAP before the facts were in and should not automatically condemn Muslim terrorism which was already factually established. The man can’t win. (guess that would screw up the politically correct narrative)

Some 10+ years ago a family friend had the chance to spend a year at U of Glasgow in Scotland.
She and some friends would go to the various pubs where she could learn some of the Scotts dances.
One evening she and a male friend were walking home when he told her that if they were accosted by some “yobs” he was depending on her to defend them because she, Texas country girl that she is, had her pocketknife with her. Maybe a 2.5″ blade?
She was astounded.
