From Indianapolis, Indiana;

The shooting occurred in the 3200 block of Milford Road just before 11 p.m. IMPD officers tell us a man was returning home when another man attacked him.

The two men got into a fight, and during the altercation the suspect was shot in the back. Police aren’t sure at this time whether the gun belongs to the homeowner or the suspect. Police say it’s possible the homeowner disarmed the suspect.

In Montgomery, Alabama;

Brandon Robinson, 28, and Jamaris Mitchell, 22, were armed with a handgun when they attempted to burglarize a house on Oak Shadow Lane on June 26, according to a release from the Montgomery Police Department.

The two were then confronted by the homeowner, and according to MPD, “there was an exchange of gunfire, and both suspects fled the scene.”

Robinson was found by MPD down the street suffering from gunshot wounds and was taken to the hospital where he later died. Robinson is one of nine who were killed by gunfire in the last two weeks of June.

Mitchell is being charged with Robinson’s murder.

From Shreveport, Louisiana;

Police say during a possible home invasion a window was busted in while 2 men were inside and at least one suspected intruder was shot in the chest.

The suspected intruder was found in the front yard wearing a mask, with a dark t-shirt and tan shorts, gloves and holding an AR-15 rifle with a drum magazine attached, according to police.

The critically injured man was taken to University Health hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Police say the preliminary investigation suggests that several men tried to break into the house and shots were fired from the inside and the outside of the house.

It is believed that someone from inside the home fired rounds that hit one of the would-be intruders.

Police are working to identify the man as well as the others who fled the scene following the shooting.

Cops found a large quantity of weed in the target home.

From Durham, North Carolina;

One man in a masked group that invaded a home in the northwest part of the city Thursday night was shot in the back, police said.

The wounded man, who is 40 years old, was seriously wounded, police said. They did not disclose his name.

Police declined to say whether the man was shot by the owner of the home in the 200 block of Bridgefield Place or by someone else.

In Bluefield, West Virginia, two armed intruders wearing body armor staged a home invasion. The pair lit out when police arrived on the scene;

“The Bluefield Police Department responded with K-9 units,” Dillow said. “The two suspects were found in a wooded area off Wyoming Street.”Dillow said the black male was unresponsive. “He passed away due to what may have been heat stroke or a heart attack.”

In St Louis, Missouri;

According to the police report, around 9:50 p.m. on Lookaway Drive and Shepley Boulevard, the 56-year-old suspect tried to steal a 35-year-old man’s car. The man confronted the suspect and that’s when the suspect lunged at him with a box cutter. The man fired shots, striking the suspect in the leg.

The suspect was transported to a hospital and listed in stable condition. The owner of the car was not injured.

6 incidents of thuggery, leaving some of them dead, others wounded. This home invasion thing is getting riskier for the punks.

The home invasion thing got bad around here when Oxy’s peaked a few years ago. Now it’s heroin but the homeowners have armed up in response and the CC laws have loosened so the good guys are taking out the trash.

i have found that my twin 103 lbs lab, GSD and mastiff mix brothers are still the best deterrent to anyone coming on my property. i am in the catskill mountains and it would take the Sheriff’s office at least 30 mins to get here even if they were running full on lights and siren. there is not a person that i know of that does not either have a small annoying barky dog or a big massive mutt like mine. also it is one of the better counties to get a pistol permit in NYS so should the dogs ever fail well…. lets just say there is not a lot of violent crime around here

Sparks
