The filthy scum of Westboro have again threatened to protest at the funerals of the three soldiers, Corporal Dillon C. Baldridge, Sgt. Eric M. Houck and Sgt. William M. Bays, who were killed in a recent “green-on-blue” attack in Afghanistan.
Locals in Clarksville, Tennessee were able to foil the protests there for the memorial of Sergeant Bays;
Cement trucks blocked uninvited traffic.

There was a funeral a few years back, for a local soldier killed in Iraq. The funeral was moved to his high school, to accommodate the number of people who attended.
WBC(I refuse to call them a church) announced their intention to demonstrate at the funeral
The Sheriff and the Superintendent of the school district made arrangements to line the road in front of the school with school buses, on both sides of the road. Then the Superintendent advised them that they weren’t welcome on school property, and the sheriff pointed out that they could do their shit behind the line of buses, on the far side of the road.
Nobody saw them, nobody heard them.
Ran into some of their crowd at a friend’s funeral and an Adam Carolla show….I sincerely questioned just how much legal issues my career could stand and fortunately some local motorcyclists intervened. These people are confused.

I was born and raised in Kansas. I still keep in touch with friends up there and I can honestly say that if a sudden sinkhole or chasm was to suddenly open up to swallow the Westboro Baptist Church and all of its inbred minions never to be seen again not only would the City of Topeka and Shawnee County Kansas rejoice, I’m sure the entire State of Kansas would have at least a four or five day “GOOD RIDDANCE” Party to celebrate their removal from the face of this earth.

WAR STORY ALERT: These same sonsofbitches came to Pine Bluff, AR to picket the funeral of a soldier several years back. Some of us didn’t take kindly to their arrival. (At the time) the police chief was squared away and his PA was a retired CWO. They had their officers take a smoke break while a few of us expressed our own views to these brainwashed young pawns who then had the sense to pile into their van and hastily depart the AO before we set it on fire with them inside. When a coworkers son was killed in Afghanastan this much threatened to come to Michigan to protest his funeral. Freedom riders show to assist local law enforcement. However, these cowards never showed. As a minister of the gospel let me categorically state their action portray who they really are – not Spirit filled believers. I cannot state their eternal destiny; but based on the Bible I can say they are doing tremendous damage to the cause of Christ and will stand in judgement for their rhetoric and actions!

Several years back when their daddy uncle brother pastor died, it is my understanding that there were quite a few Soldiers of the Cavalry variety from Ft Riley who were going to go ‘protest’ his funeral. Unfortunately they were directly ordered not to do so.
The family was so hypocritical that they issued a statement asking for the funeral to be left alone do they could grieve in peace.

I can’t remember what year it was, but I was fortunate enough to be living in Washington, D.C. at the Ol’ Soldiers’ Home, and thus, was able to participate in the Twenty-Fifth Anniversary of the Viet Nam Memorial.

I remember those assholes showed up to protest. Unfortunately someone parked behind their van at the hotel so they couldn’t leave then somehow their tires were not operable. Oddly, they couldn’t find a local place that would fix them and had to find a flatbed to load up the van and send it out of there.
People, however you feel about church’s and religion do not confuse that with these people. They are a money making sue happy operation and that is all they are.
I remember reading about someplace in Mississippi where they went to screech but lo and behold, EVERY car in that hotel parking lot with Kansas plates was blocked in! The local wrecker company was called and they said they’d be there when the could. The wrecker? it showed up some time after the funeral was over but WHADDA YA KNOW? there were no longer any cars blocking the Westboro inbreds’ vehicles!
