Monday morning feel good stories
From Houston, Texas;
Officers said late Friday night, three suspects in a four door car opened fire in front of a home on Glenburnie Drive and Mercedes Lane.
The owner of the home returned fire and hit all three suspects inside the vehicle. Two of the suspects died from the gunshot wounds, officers said.
The homeowner was not injured in the shooting.
From Charlotte, North Carolina, I guess if you shoot an intruder, he becomes the victim;
According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police, the shooter claims the victim allegedly broke into his apartment after an argument with the door closed. That is when the resident shot the intruder, officers say. The victim then fled from the apartment in a vehicle, police said.
Officers don’t know the extent of the victim’s injuries or his whereabouts.
From Memphis, Tennessee;
Police said the male entered the store armed with a handgun and attempted to rob the business.
The employee drew his weapon and shot the suspect.
The suspect was taken to the hospital in critical condition and later died.
From Fort Worth, Texas;
The man told police he had arrived at the location to deliver a pizza when he was confronted by two robbery suspects.
Police later determined that the house was vacant.
“One of the suspects was armed with a handgun, and fired it at the delivery driver,” Parrish said. “The delivery driver was armed and fired back at the suspects.”
The teens ran away from the location after the shooting, police said.
[…]
The 16-year-old robbery suspect fled the scene, but he was found near the scene and died a short time later.
The delivery driver did not have license to carry a concealed handgun, Parrish said.
The shooting death would be turned over to a grand jury for consideration, police said, and the delivery driver could face a charge of unlawful carrying of a weapons.
Marksmanship seems to be improving.

Great shooting in Houston.
Regarding the Fort Worth story…I’m guessing the “teens” had names like Dequincy, Antoine, or some such…and of course the craven practice of charging the person working a dangerous job trying to defend himself makes another appearance.
You mean “Delinquency”?
It is very easy to get a carry permit in Texas. I think the training adds to public safety. I learned a fair bit when I took it. It does take some money and time. Maybe $50. I am guessing the jury will have some mercy on this victim.
I suspect that unless the delivery driver has some other legal issues, the Grand Jury will no-bill him.
If he has some legal impediments to possession of a firearm, however, he may get indicted.
With the recent legislation passed, one does not need a concealed permit to carry a weapon in one’s vehicle.
“I retreated to my vehicle, where I kept my pistol, and fired my weapon in self defense out of fear for my personal safety.”
That’s my story & I’m sticking to it.
Hopefully he meets all the requirements of a CCW. Otherwise, I think he’s gonna be toast.
Fort Worth…THIS IS BULLSHYT…the man had his GOD GIVEN RIGHT to protect himself….fuck texas liberal, half ass, socialist bullshyt laws! You don’t need a phucking permit to defend yourself…only corrupt politicians need that!!! imho
The aim of the people being set upon by thugs is getting better. Several people made their last attempt to take from others. The best warning shot is placed “Center Mass” on the intruder’s body.
If you are going to carry concealed, get the proper license for it, or you could wind up prosecuted and penalized.
4 thugs dead, off the streets forever, and not in prison, costing taxpayers for their upkeep. Now, back to my Cuban Coffee.
00buck will clear a car full.
In one story, the intruder becomes the victim, somehow.
As they were said to be arguing through a closed door, perhaps there was no corresponding hole in the door nor other damage to indicate that it had been forced?
Taxpayer relief x 4.
And if you can’t get the “proper license for it?” This implies you can’t carry? No it just means you have to take your chance with being murdered, or the bureaucracy. Which would you choose? In this story, since he was fired on first – attempted murder, seems like a very wise decision.
Yes except some chicken shyt, pussyfied, ambulance chasing asshole lawyer will try to make a name for himself and get a conviction!
The Houston event is impressive. Assuming even a stationary vehicle, hitting all three while returning fire, with two killed, is better than most police departments can claim.
Bet dollars to doughnuts the homeowner used a long gun (rifle, shotgun).
Even if so, still good shootin’, Tex.
Don’t mess with Texas. These idiots just don’t learn, pardner. 🙂
[And yes I know that’s an anti-littering slogan from the Highway Department, but it still fits!]
We Texans use it exactly as you did. 🙂 In fact, the Highway Department just borrowed it from standard Texas vernacular.
Well, in this case he left the trash at the curb for pickup, so the anti-littering slogan fits.
That’s what I’d suspect myself, DBW. Long-gun vs handguns – plus homeowner down low behind brick with perps in the car. Most long-guns can pierce some of those car doors. (Not all, I know.)
Just wondering if the Pizza Delivery man had been killed. If Grand Jury would have tried him for being in the right place at the wrong time or some other crime.
