Monday morning feel good stories
From New Orleans, Louisiana;
A 23-year-old man was walking to his front door in the 7800 block of Sand Street when a man approached from behind and took the victim’s weapon, police said. The suspect forced the man inside, walked him to his bedroom and proceeded to “take his property,” according to NOPD. As the armed robber was leaving, the victim took out another gun and fired several shots at the suspect who ran away, police said.
Officers arrived at a Dawson Road home shortly after 10 p.m. Saturday following up on a report of an attempted home invasion. Near the side entrance of the home, officers found a semi-conscious man suffering from a gunshot wound to his lower extremity.
A man and woman inside the home told police that the man had approached the side door of the home, demanding entrance and threatening a man and woman inside with his gun.
The believed burglar and a male resident inside the home exchanged gunfire, police say, and both were hit. The resident, 24, was found by police suffering from a serious gunshot wound.
Both men were treated by emergency medical services at the scene and transported to a nearby hospital.

Guy in NOLA open carrying?
The best morning feel good story is yet to be told. I believe that BrushBomber Bernath has an appointment in Chesapeake, Virginia.
He’ll probably show up on gurney with IV hardware and a “bag”, all the while blaming his intended victims for his anti-social deviancy.
I forgot about that. I was going to take the day off of work and run over there and watch the events.

Why do people keep their ‘property’ in their bedrooms? Why not in the garage, or the kitchen with most of it buried in the freezer at the bottom under 40 pounds of frozen chicken that could be used to clobber the thief?
Because antique watches guns and coins don’t do well in the defrost cycle.Also my freezer isn’t that big I need that space for food.
The N.O. incident tells me that the victim was not using situational awareness.
Hope the Massachusetts victim doesn’t get charged with shooting that perp.
In Massachusetts, I wonder what it means to be shot in “his lower extremity”?
Does this mean his *hang down* or his leg?
That Louisiana story is why I prefer not to open carry.
