Chavez not feeling the Hopeychange
While we’re all treated to endless hours of news coverage of Obama’s train ride yesterday, dumbasses getting Obama tattoos, Maya Angelou writing op/ed pieces trying to convince us that “Obama is the real deal”, Colin Powell telling us that only Barack Obama can “renew America”, it seems that Hugo Chavez ain’t feelin’ the love;
Most world leaders expect a new era of U.S. foreign relations when Obama, a Democrat, is sworn in as president on Tuesday after Republican George W. Bush’s eight years in the White House.
But Chavez said frayed ties with Washington were unlikely to improve despite the departure of Bush, who the Venezuelan leader has often called the “devil.”
“I hope I am wrong, but I believe Obama brings the same stench, to not say another word,” Chavez said at a political rally on a historic Venezuelan battlefield.
“If Obama as president of the United States does not obey the orders of the empire, they will kill him, like they killed Kennedy, like they killed Martin Luther King, or Lincoln, who freed the blacks and paid with his life.”
“They”? I wonder who these “they” people are? I guess he means real Americans. Hugo is having serious problems these days. With his oil revenues falling, he tried to shut down the program that gave free or cheaper heating oil to poor Americans, then he found out that those vagabonds are a vocal bunch of whiners so he turned the spigot back on. He mismanaged the windfall he received when oil prices were sky-high, he booted the oil companies out of Venezuela and seized their operations causing production to fall off. He seized the milk producers and everything else he could get his grubby little hands on.
Now, with Bush gone, Chavez has to demonize Americans as a whole and warn Venezuelans to not feel the hopeychange of Obama. He still needs an enemy to focus Venezuelans irrational fears upon – and he’s exorcised them all.
For everyone who thinks that Obama is going to renew our image in the world, you’re mistaken. The whole world needs a devil to blame their problems on and we’re it, because we don’t bomb people just because they threaten us.

Hey, Jonn, I just stopped by to tell you — it’s really, really cold outside!! In case you hadn’t noticed.
Good morning.
He’s gotta distract international press…can’t have them watching the growing student protests by ucabistas, blocking the Autopista Francisco Fajardo, or those pesky statements he makes, saying that the “best” tear gas will be used against them next time.
New scapegoat: found.
“like they killed Kennedy” that football headed bastid is snorting the Bolivian marching powder again.
Hugo C, angry little man Lee Harvey Oswald did the deed. The communists didn’t take him seriously and he wanted to be a mover & shaker in the communist party. Ol’ Oswald attempted a potshot at retired Maj. Gen.Edwin Anderson Walker and failed before the fateful day at Dallas. His brother, his KGB handlers weren’t suprised by this at all.
