Jack Otterwalder says he’s being framed
Yesterday, we talked about Jack Junior Otterwalder when he was arrested for possessing an incorrect DD 214 record of his discharge. Today, he’s saying that he’s being framed.
A fake certificate of release or discharge from active duty, commonly known as a DD Form 214, was found with Ottenwalder’s personal information on it in January, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office said. The certificate exaggerated dates, duty stations, training and awards, according to the sheriff’s office.
But Otterwalder says he has a copy of the form that shows otherwise.
Ottenwalder has a veteran designation on his driver’s license. He claims he submitted a DD Form 214 to the Department of Motor Vehicles for that designation because he was told he could do so.
“They said I could do it, so I gave it to them,” Ottenwalder said. “I figured if anything was wrong, they’d look at it and say, ‘No, this ain’t going to fly’ and no, it’s turned into something bigger and bigger and bigger.”
I’m sure there aren’t enough criminals in Lee County that the sheriff’s office has the time to make up stuff to arrest folks.

So we are to believe that Otterwalder is such an important/significant figure in Lee County society that the Lee County Sheriff’s Office has found it necessary to divert its time, resources, and manpower to an ongoing effort to ‘frame’ Otterwalder for some unknown reason.
OK. Sure thing; sounds completely legit. I’m sure that whatever Otterwalder has going on is a much higher priority than anything/anyone else that the Lee County Sheriff’s Office is having to deal with on a daily basis, which clearly justifies the commitment of its resources to engage in the unjustified persecution of Otterwalder.
One question remains unanswered, however: just what is it that the Lee County Sheriff’s Office is trying to achieve by ‘framing’ Otterwalder? Very mysterious.

With out seeing the sheriff’s dpt copy of the forged DD-214 ui will hold off judgment on this guy. if he had a 214 and submitted it in good faith, it should have been the DMV that vetted it.
