Friday morning feel good stories
In Lake Athens, Texas, two DRTs;
The deceased suspects are identified as Steven Kelley, 49, of Winona and Cecil Spain, 31, of Grand Saline.
[…]
HCSO information said the homeowners allowed one of the men inside under the pretext that he had come there to buy a dog they were selling.
The masked man apparently entered later, without being seen by the couple. The would-be robbers were reportedly armed, and overpowered the couple, and tied them up. The couple was slightly injured in the process.
Later, after the suspects were unable to get into the safe, the male homeowner convinced them to loosen him, so he could help them open it. He was able to find an opportunity to get his gun, and fire the fatal shots.
In Las Vegas, Nevada, a similar scenario;
Police said two suspects entered the home and tied up a man and woman. The man was able to break free and grab a gun, shooting the suspects.
One of the suspects was found dead inside the home and another suffered gunshot wounds to the lower back, police said. The second suspect, identified by KSNV as 21-year-old Arnold Morales, was being treated at University Medical Center for a gunshot wound.
One from Killeen, Texas;
Killeen Police said four people tried to force their way into a house in the 200 block of Mary Jane Street at 11:20 p.m. Tuesday. Hearing loud banging and shattering glass, the resident inside grabbed a gun and fired multiple shots toward the door — hitting one of the suspects and causing them all to run away.
Investigators later found the suspects. The one who was wounded is hospitalized in critical but stable condition, police said. The other three were arrested and taken to the Killeen City Jail, pending charges.
Criminals in Orlando, Florida bring a gun so the victim can shoot one;
Police said one of the robbers pointed a gun at the victim, who told police he and the gunman then got into a struggle over the gun, causing it to go off. Police said the culprit was wounded in the incident.
Police said both suspects left the area, but a gunshot victim was dropped off behind a Metro PCS at 5405 Texas Avenue about 30 minutes later. The injured man, who police said they believe may have been involved in the robbery, was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center with injuries that were not life-threatening.

Legally armed citizens are protecting themselves, either with their guns or using the gun of the bad guy. This morning’s post has 4 events, resulting in 3 dead bad guys, 2 wounded bad guys, and 3 others in jail. Arm yourself, know your weapon, and stay safe.
Once again, time for the TAH Armed Citizen Batting Line Analysis.
Today was an excellent day at the plate for armed citizens. In today’s article, we had 10 total perps. Of those, three no longer require oxygen due to high-speed heavy metal injection therapy; three are feeling the effects of body piercings under unsanitary field conditions and are also in police custody; three others are unwounded but in custody; and one is in the wind with soiled underwear.
In baseball terms that’s like playing a double header and going a combined 9-for-9 with 3 HRs and 3 additional extra base hits, plus a walk. Quite impressive.
There must be some misprints…the three named suspects (Steven, Cecil, and Arnold) all have normal-sounding names.
Great day for the good guys and I have a rare day off!
Can I get a Woo Hoo?
Woo Hoo
Nothing like leaving your wounded buddy in an alley and driving off.
It’s what the scumbags do. At least they didn’t leave him in a ditch out in the country. That’s been known to happen, too.
