Saturday morning feel good stories
Amy sends us a story from Houston, Texas;
An alleged robber got into a shootout with a clerk at a convenience store in east Houston late Thursday.
The clerk was wounded and the robber was shot dead. A second robber may have gotten away, police say.
It happened at about 9:30 p.m. in the 600 block of Uvalde near Indianapolis.
The wounded clerk was rushed to the hospital in unknown condition.
Another clerk in Darbydale, Ohio had some drama;
Authorities said the suspect walked into Sunoco gas station on Norton Road in Darbydale and said he was robbing it.
The clerk then pulled out a gun and the suspect moved back to door. Deputies said the clerk fired and shot the suspect in the hand.
Officials said a person matching the suspect’s description was admitted to OhioHealth Doctors West Hospital.
From St Louis, Missouri;
The 37-year-old victim told police he was in his vehicle in the 5700 block of Delmar when the suspect, later identified as 34-year-old Marcus Portis, approached him and began yelling while showing a gun around 7:20 p.m.
After approaching the victim, Portis reportedly fired several gunshots, striking the victim. Then, the victim got his own gun and returned fire, hitting the suspect.
According to police, after the gunshots were fired, Portis ran from the area and eventually collapsed.
Portis was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the thigh and listed in stable condition.

Three incidents, two DRT perps, one perp who now has a permanent limp in his grip, two wounded victims who are hopefully on their way to a speedy recovery. All you odds makers out there, what’s up at today’s home plate?
Can the injured victims sue the “estate” (snicker snicker —–GUFFAW GUFFAW) of the perps for injuries?
Some things to note:
1. Thugs have guns.
2 They will use them to harm, or steal from, you.
3. We can arm ourselves.
4 We can practice and become more proficient with our weapon than they are.
5. We can survive.
Yep.
