Thursday morning feel good stories
A homeowner in Greensboro, North Carolina, was able to scare off home invaders with a single gun shot. It’s unknown if any of the criminals were injured in the attack at this time.
In Jackson, Mississippi an armed homeowner confronted a burglar who was trying to get through a sliding glass door. The homeowner grabbed his shotgun and made the thief DRT (dead right there) from a single center mass blast. It doesn’t appear that the criminal was armed, but the police support the homeowner.
An elderly Vietnam veteran homeowner in Mission, Texas heard a noise inside his home and when he went to investigate, he found a 21-year-old intruder, so he shot him in the leg. The intruder limped his ass home where his mother saw the gunshot wound and took him to the hospital where he was arrested by the police.
In Wyoming County, West Virginia, Julio Alonso, 56, had a couple worried from his antics – beating on their car in the driveway and he ripped the dash board out of it. Then he headed for the house and tried to force his way in. The residents had been calling the police who hadn’t showed up yet. They locked their doors, but Alonso tried to climb in the window – the resident gave him one round center mass. Alonso was flown to the hospital and his condition is unknown.
A homeowner in Amarillo, Texas heard a window break at the back of his house and went to investigate. he saw a gloved hand holding a weapon come through the broken window and the homeowner fired a shot in that direction which made the criminal change his mind and he un-assed the AO.

There seems to be no limit on the number of dopes who think that they have chosen a productive vocation, robbing, bothering, threatening, law abiding, gun owning citizens. Many of these miscreants wake up dead from their foolish choices. A warning shot from a shotgun, aimed at center mass, sends a great message, (to the others in the neighborhood).
I just love a story with a happy ending!
I know the neighborhood of the Jackson MS story, a rough neighborhood.
The Jackson police chief made some good comments in the second link above.
Chief Vance seemed like a straight shooter while I was living in the area, unlike most of the rest of the city government.
God bless Texas mamas. Always taking care of family business!
(I have to chuckle at this one. Did mama turn in her errant son as she was driving him to the hospital to get his booboo fixed?)
Too bad about the WV couple and their property. Just think, for the small cost of one extra round, center mass, the community could have been saved the cost of a LifeFlight, hospital care, a trial, and subsequent incarceration.
For want of a nail. .. . . .
it is called “Double Tap”
How pathetic is a wanna be thief living in his mommy’s basement.
