Monday morning feel good stories
In Oviedo, Florida, a fellow tried to break into a home. When that failed, he tried to break into a car – but the homeowner confronted him. The thief ran away and hid in some bushes. When the homeowner called for him to come out, the thief charged the homeowner – he was rewarded with several gun shot wounds. His condition is unknown.
A woman in Amarillo, Texas met an intruder at her door with a gun. The sight of the firearm persuaded the thief to take flight instead. The police are still searching for him.
In Wichita, Kansas, a woman saw another woman stealing from her vehicle. The thief approached the victim with a screwdriver. The victim fired a shot into the air and that frightened the thief away.
In Philadelphia, Pennsylvania a 19-year-old boy took his 21-year-old neighbor, a girl, to breakfast. While they were out, the girl’s ex-boyfriend spotted them and followed them home. The ex- and three of his friends confronted the boy. He pulled a gun on the teen and started firing. The teen’s family then broke out their own firepower and unleashed it upon the four. Folks were wounded on both sides, but ultimately, the four who were on the side of the ex-boyfriend were all arrested and the teen’s family were all cleared of charges.
In Augusta, Georgia, a thief tried to rob a Subway sandwich shop, but he was shot DOT (dead over there, at the hospital) by someone in the shop. The story is hard to read because the journalist who wrote it switches back and forth from referring to the criminal as a “suspect” and a “victim”.
There, I hope these five stories make up for blowing you guys off yesterday morning.

It’s all good bro. Evidently, some of the people around here don’t read them anyway.
I will just wait for that other guy to post it again in a few days.
5 good instances of bad guys being stopped from doing their deeds, by good people with guns.
Here’s a hint for store owners: Post a sign on the entry notifying potential thieves that employees are armed, even if they aren’t.
I’ll bet crime rates will drop on that alone.
I remember a store in Georgia on the way from Atlanta to Benning which had a sign saying “there is an employee behind the mirror with a shotgun three days a week – your guess as to which three days.” Lady behind the counter was about as friendly as a hot-flashing rabid badger, too. Ugly old bitch.
IDC SARC would still hit it.
Just sayin…….
RE: Wichita, REALLY?! We don’t deal in stinkin’ warning shots, we deal in lead!
From the Philly story:
Ummm… ouch?
Hopefully some worthless DNA has now been prevented from entering the gene pool.
He’s started legal proceedings to change his name from Bruce to Caitlin…
Or maybe to “Shorty”.
Here’s another story about one less imbecile in the gene pool. A 12-14YO kid as a suicide bomber in Turkey.

sadly the little turd killed off 30 people… would have been a lot better if his ‘splody vest had gone boom when he was alone.
In Wichita – shouldn’t that “warning shot” be characterized better as a “miss”? As someone here wisely put it, your first ‘warning shot’ should be center of mass. (Stixx may be?)
As my father used to say, “the first shot is a warning to the second guy”.
I have never considered criminals to be victims. Maybe victim of their own stupidity but little else.
Five for five this morning. Good score, but a Subway shop? Don’t these dopes know that Subway always has two-fer coupons?
We need to start making people aware of things they should do, such as meet the intruder at the door with a noisy dog, in addition to a gun. The dog will raise an alarm better than anything else. Turf and territory – that sort of thing.
I see they rewrote that Augusta story.
Is there something wrong with the blog? Everytime I go to the url, it tries to download a pdf file named “download.”
Two things come to mind:
You must be a special kind of PoS to hit a 14 y/o child in the head with a crowbar.
Never bring a crowbar to a gunfight.
BTW, ever notice how those in movies hold a crowbar? They hold it by the wrong end. The holder would have a much better grip if the crowbar were held by the curved end. Just some advice for any who see the use of a crowbar as a weapon in their future. You can thank me later. PH2, you can make me a sammich. Thanks …
