What Exactly is a “Disproportionate Response”? [COB6]

| December 30, 2008

First, let me say Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all. Especially to all that sent me emails wondering if I had fallen off the earth. I didn’t, but I did spend a week in Washington DC with family and things were so crazy that even Jonn and I didn’t get a chance to link up. It was a great holiday but I found myself totally consumed with family.

Please forgive me, I know that you guys are family too.

So let’s just jump right in, shall we?

Isreal has decided to kill Palestinian terrorists; not nearly enough but it’s a start.

Investors Business Daily has a good take on the latest news from these Palestinian swine. (Yeah, I use the word swine intentionally).

After three years of ceaseless rocket and mortar barrages, Israel has decided to exercise its right to self-defense in what the likes of U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon call a “disproportionate response.” Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak said: “For us to be asked to have (another) cease-fire with Hamas is like asking (America) to have a cease-fire with al-Qaida.”

To accept the anti Semite cries of “disproportionate response” and villify Israel for defending its citizens requires a whole new level of lefty-induced mental retardation.

This position is wonderfully illustrated by the statement today of the biggest idiot in the US House of Representatives, Dennis Kucinich:

Referring to Israel’s air assault on Hamas targets in Gaza, the Ohio legislator issued a statement saying: “All this was, and is, disproportionate, indiscriminate mass violence in violation of international law. Israel is not exempt from international law and must be held accountable.”

Hamas is a terrorist organization and always has been. A majority of the savage retards in Gaza voted them into power, thus, a majority of the “innocents” are no more than terror enablers and should be killed.

Has Israel finally realized that the only good terrorist is a dead terrorist?

A disproportionate response might be using 10 pounds of C4 as a mouse trap in your own kitchen. I dunno, your question does pose a challenge.

What if Israel launched a missile or rocket back into Gaza for each one launched by Hamas I reckon. Tit-for-tat. I reckon Israel could likely use the same hardware and targeting stuff as well. Sorta like undirected counter battery fire.

That’s a semi-serious proposal, BTW, but if Israel hit a school or hospital would that too be a disproportionate response? What if they just air dropped bags of pig manure/entrails on mosques?

I commented in another post that there are no innocent Palestinians, in the same manner that there are no innocent Germans in 1945. It’s all relative. The Germans supported their government and it’s war of aggression in the same manner that the Palestinians support Hamas. They elected Hamas, stood and cheered on each rocket, each homicide bomber, each blow against Israel. Now, they must reap what they have sewn, and that long overdue.

You cannot have any sort of meaningful dialogue, and respected accords with a Nation whose very constitution demands the destruction of your nation and the death of every Jew. Only a Democrat could find a way to nuance such a situation to support the Palestinians.

All the rest who line up to condemn Israel are self-deluded terror-enablers and Sharia apologists.

War’s very object is victory, not prolonged indecision. In war there is no substitute for victory.

How much of an indiscriminate response would it be to vote dumbass out of office?

Even the famously liberal THE WEST WING knew there was no virtue to a proportionate response. The ONE and ONLY way to get results is with disproportionate responses. Had Mexico been launching unguided rockets into Texas, we would have annexed the whole of Mexico by now…

Matt

Hell, Mexico has already annexed Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, California, etc.

Matt,

Reminds me of the old joke: Why can’t Mexico ever field a good Olympic team? Because everyone who can run, jump, or swim is over here. 🙂
