Sunday morning feel good stories
Joshua Chavira, out for a drive in Las Vegas, Nevada crashed the car he was driving into a wall, so he decided to steal another car so he could continue on his way. Some alert residents decided that they should make his decision costly, so they “subdued” him about the head and shoulders until the police arrived. Mugshot of the results of being “subdued” at the link.
In the self-solving problems category, Oakland, California awoke to the news that Jonathan C. Webb, Jr. robbed and pistol-whipped a citizen. While he was making a getaway, his handgun was negligently discharged by Webb striking him in the leg, and he made it few blocks before he bled to death.
Chief Tango sends us a link to the story of NBA player Bryce Dejean-Jones, New Orleans Pelicans’ guard, who was visiting in Dallas, Texas, where he kicked down the door of an apartment that he thought belonged to an “estranged acquaintance”. When he busted through the bedroom door, the resident, in fear for his life, fired his gun in self-defense. Jones turned around and ran out the door and collapsed in the breezeway. He was DRT (dead right there).

HHmmmm. One “Suicide by Citizen”, One “Suicide by stupid, One “Shoulda took the bus.
That should read “Self-murder by citizen”, “Self-murder by stupid”. If you are not careful, you may get sued.
Everybody wants to be a critic………
Some of the less bright citizens have found a new place spend their time, permanently.
Seriously, dude is a pro athlete and multi-millionaire, and still pulls this crap?
At least the gene pool is a little cleaner today. Sadly, a 19 year old in CA was following a person who tried to rob him, and ended up getting shot and killed. If they’re armed, and you’re not, following your assailant falls under the category of “Very Bad Ideas”.
Can’t beat a self-delete!!
Here’s another story to feel good about today. World War II veteran, still tough with the fights in him, faces danger and survives. Caretaker in jail:

That bitch needs to be beat to death with an oxygen tank.
What? Jones couldn’t have just knocked on the apartment door politely and asked for the ex girlfriend? Wrong apartment, no harm, no foul, realize error, move on. Instead, he went and kicked in the door? WTF is up with that?
The linked article sounds to sanitized.
The Washington Post article was worse – they didn’t mention that he’d forced his way into the apartment, only that he was in the wrong apartment. I used the linked article because it mentions that he broke down two doors before he was shot.
I wonder if the Pelican’s will be compensated a draft pick?
Maybe the Post could write about that.
The double standard for politicians, actors and athletes gives me a case of the red ass.
