Saturday morning feel good stories

| May 14, 2016

Rick sends us a story that happened in Oriental, North Carolina, where Desmond Syrill Bryant, who was just released from prison last week, went nuts on a pair of store clerks for some unknown reason and they were forced to defend themselves with a handgun they kept under the counter. Bryant was struck twice by bullets and fled the scene. Police picked him up later and it looks like he’ll recover from his wounds so he can go back to prison.

A homeowner in Decatur, Georgia, returned home in time to catch Eric William Harper trying to leave after he’d burglarized the place. The homeowner held him at gun point until the police arrived and took hapless Harper to the town jail.

CWORet sends us a link to a story about a nationally-televised Amber Alert case. Carlie Marie Trent was found in Tennessee. She had been kidnapped by her uncle, Gary Simpson who claims that he couldn’t bear to be away from her. Donnie Lawson and Roger Carpenter found the pair in a remote area of East Tennessee and held Simpson at gun point until police arrived to cart his perverted ass off to jail where he’s on suicide watch. Carlie is back home with her parents.

In Bacliff, Texas, Jerry Dewayne Hocutt, 44, forced his way into a house and he was confronted by the homeowner. Hocutt lunged at the victim with a knife and the homeowner fired once – center mass. The police found Mr Hocutt face down in the living room DRT (dead right there).

Here’s the story from St Louis, Missouri about Albert Millsapp who recruited his 23-year-old cousin Perry Cal Jr. to rob a store for him. He told young Cal what to say, gave him guns and drove him to the scene of the crime. Cal did just as Millsapp told him and robbed the business. When he started to leave, Cal dropped a gun which the clerk recovered and they had a close quarters gun fight in which Perry lost with a bullet to his back. Millsapp pulled his cousin into the getaway car and they left the scene. Perry died later and Albert ignobly dumped his earthly remains alongside a road. Well, he was arrested eventually and yesterday in a St Louis courtroom, he was found guilty of his cousin’s murder as well as the robbery.

What a shitbag that St Louie feller was. Abusing the trust and admiration of a presumably naïve (and observably not bright) family member like that. Should be interesting to see the dindunuffin’s fly at the family reunion!

Legally armed good citizens, stopping criminal acts and getting bad guys off the streets. Good reading for a Saturday morning.

We have a world full of these ?genius’? these morons could go be a door greeter at walmart, shuffle burgers at a burger joint, but no, for a couple of lousy bucks and their life, they would rather spend eternity in hell….! BRILLIANT!

OldManchu

Dumped his ass in a ditch?! Well then he should also face charges for littering the side of the roadway with trash.

Doug

improper disposal of bio-hazardous waste is probably more weighty than littering…

Time for the “armed citizen batting line” analysis.

Six total perps (PAs), with 2 DRT/DOT (HRs), 1 wounded and in custody (extra base hit), one apprehended and charged w/felony murder (extra base hit), and the other two unwounded but in custody (singles).

That’s a 6-for-6 day with 2 HR and two other extra-base hits. Impressive.

Makes for a good start to the weekend.
