Next Generation Jihadists: A Rant
There is an obvious push by radical Islamists to spread their barbaric belief system across the globe. They call it the Caliphate, and they have aspirations of a world subjugated to their interpretation of Islam. None of this is new stuff. We’ve been watching and reading about it for several years now.
This being the case, why has our main effort continued to be “whack a mole” while the Islamists are committed to a concerted effort to raise up a new generation of radicals?
In 2014, a filmmaker from Vice News embedded himself with ISIS in Raqqa, Syria. One of the ISIS members interviewed was running a training camp for children. He stated,
“For us, we believe that this generation of children is the generation of the caliphate. This generation will fight the infidels and apostates, the Americans and their allies, God willing. The right doctrine has been implanted in these children,”
In November of 2015, a PBS documentary reported on ISIS training children as young as three-years-old in Afghanistan’s Kunar province. The documentary shows an ISIS member teaching the children to operate Ak-47s and hand grenades.
The Long War Journal brings us the most recent development in the disturbing trend of radical Islamists and their strategy to indoctrinate the next generation of jihadists.
The Islamic State’s “Library of Zeal” has released an application for teaching the Arabic alphabet to children on Android devices. The vocabulary taught within the application includes jihadist themes.
Words like “tank,” “gun,” and “rocket” are among the first few taught within the application.
By now, this end state shouldn’t surprise anyone. Yet, European countries have continued to open their borders to Middle Eastern migrants, and any suggestion to the contrary in the United States it met with accusations of xenophobia.
London just elected the first Muslim mayor of a Western capital, and in a demonstration of solidarity for Ramadan printed the phrase “Praise Allah” on the city’s iconic red buses.
You know what, f**k Europe—we saved them twice. They made their bed, let them lie in it.
I’m more concerned with what the United States is doing against this clear and present danger? (h/t Tom Clancy)
Answer: The Obama administration continues to make the humanitarian argument.
Despite Paris and Belgium, despite the fact that European women and children are sexually assaulted by throngs of migrant men, Obama seeks to emulate Germany’s immigration debacle and believes that Angela Merkel “is on the right side of history on this issue.”
In November of 2015, Obama made the claim that members of the GOP were “scared of widows and orphans coming into the United States of America”—as if only members of the GOP are concerned about more San Bernardino terrorists slipping through the cracks (pronounced walking upright through the gaping holes) in immigration.
Ironically, Obama made this statement while in the Philippines—a state that has fought an insurgency with Muslim secessionists for decades. A state that knows all too well how an organized body of Muslims can demand, fight for, and ultimately win autonomy. A state that recently elected a new president—Rodrigo Duterte. Duterte is known as the “Trump of the East” and has vocally pledged to kill suspected criminals and end crime within six months. In reference to territorial disputes in the South China Sea, Duterte stated, “I’ll go down, riding a jet-ski, carrying a Filipino flag … and then I would say, ‘This is ours.”
Duterte’s comments may be testosterone fueled rhetoric, but it demonstrates that the Philippine electorate is looking for stronger leadership to replace an ineffective leader and increasingly absent U.S. ally. Good for them. The world is in desperate need of leaders that view the world through a lens of realism.
Could leadership, or its seven-year absence—in the United States—be partly responsible for the continued rise of ISIS—or Trump for that matter? (rhetorical) And to think, many Americans are seriously considering voting for a liar who refuses to utter the phrase radical Islamists. (and who lied about being in combat)
The kid that blew himself up and killed 65 civilians in Baghdad was only a teenager. We can’t afford to give the keys to the White House to a stolen valor c**t who will do nothing to prevent today’s three-year-olds from entering the U.S. and becoming tomorrow’s suicide bombers.

Hammer. Nail. Nail head. Hit.
Obama’s one and only trick is trolling his political opposition-his Alinskyite background preempts any other action.
We are in this position because the predominate cultural worldview of the west is a Marxist inspired leftism that pushes the cult of the victim and they have (somehow) pushed Muslims to the top of the “woe poor me” pyramid (actually, that’s not true, they just look for people who are, or who they think are, the enemy of their devil-white guys-and they move to the top).
When the left completed their long march through the institutions we were cooked-they are free to spread their lies and distortions and they actively block any alternative points of view where they hold power. Europe is almost certainly too far gone in this process and we are likely not too far behind.
Hooyah.
Anybody who was paying attention on 9/11 knew that we were on borrowed time. All our warriors did was keep it contained for a little longer. Through no fault of their own, they weren’t allowed to pursue the policies of eradication that would have prevented what we now all face.
We’ve made our own cowardly bed. It’s our own fault that it will end up blood-soaked. The only satisfaction to be derived from any of this is that the g*ddamn liberals will be the first ones to suffer from their terminal stupidity. Other than that…this whole thing is going to SUCK (for those of us who haven’t had the pleasure of that already).
Not sure I am following you here. Who should we have eradicated?
The existing THREAT, my friend. It was my understanding that our troops were prevented from fighting the war in the ways they thought would be most effective. That troops were denied air support because of potential ‘collateral damage.’ That artillery was not employed because of the damage it would do. That troops were prevented from escalating engagements into and through villages because of the displacement of locals. That, to me, sounds like our troops were prevented from doing their jobs, and if I remember correctly, it was their job to break shit and kill people, and that, to me, sounds like the process of eradication.
Or have I misunderstood?
Sometimes the best consolation I have is that the highest concentrations of the leftwing loonies tends to be concentrated in high-profile targets like New York. I grieve, however, for the unfortunate and inevitable innocent casualties which that entails.
How about humanely applying the time honored tradition of the victor taking the loser’s women by only allowing female refugees into the US? An invitation instead of a forceful taking. Pacifists couldn’t complain. Feminists couldn’t claim discrimination. Probably lots of negatives to this idea, but a plus might be that maybe college age males could find a woman to have sex with instead of a woman with a ten page “yes means yes” and “no means no” form to fill out.
Of course being a squidly, I have some other brilliant ideas.
Well, gee whiz, if you’re just going to give up and let it happen….
Those ‘migrants’ – are being sent back to Turkey through Greece. Merkel has realized that she made a massive mistake being generous. So have other Euro countries.
As stubborn as we are in this country, do you actually think we would take that shit lying down? I wouldn’t. I can take care of myself, too.
Go sit in your corner and whine.
I have said, repeatedly, that this S-H-I-T is coming to an end. If you choose not to listen, fine.
Bombers don’t hit you where you’re strong, they hit you where you’re weak. 9/11 was the game of ‘let’s see how many people we can kill.’ They got right around 3000 that time — and this enemy DOES learn from their mistakes.
How many of them are already here? How many more does the government want to let in?
Nothing is at an END until it’s OVER. And this isn’t anywhere near over. It hasn’t even truly started yet.
I’m not sure where you got “give up” from my post.
If you’re referring to Europe, at some point, giving CPR to a corpse becomes futile.
2403 people died at Pearl Harbor. 68 of them were civilians. That was a surprise attack, a deliberate act of war by Japan. The 9/11/2001 hijackers could have been stopped if the two agencies involved in watching them had been communicating with each other. Frankly, any bomber in a big enough vessel – truck, airplane, train -whatever, can take a lot of people with him. The 1983 Beirut truck bomber ran right over the people who tried to stop him. If a bomber took a nose dive in a big plane in my neighborhood a LOT of people would be gone in an instant. Those events are always meant to get your attention and shock and frighten you, like the bully at school who punches you and runs away, only more lethal. The number of people behind Trump has grown the way it has because he’s not the kind to sit with his thumbs up his ass and do nothing. It took Clinton I, completely unwilling to be involved in the Balkans, until 1992 to get off his ass and answer the requests for help over there. And remember, he hated the military and said so in no uncertain terms. Yeah, Trump is confrontational and it’s about time we had someone like him showing up. Both Clintons are snakes who would just as soon see you living in a storm sewer as not. I said, if you read it, that Merkel has realized that she made a major mistake, but she can’t quite take it back. She can only clamp down on how many more will be allowed entry, and decide on how many destructive slimeballs will be sent back where they came from. That, if you have not been paying attention, has already started. It started back in March. So when I say ‘give up’, I’m referring to anyone who says, like some spoiled brat ‘no one to vote for’ or ‘I don’t like so-and-so’, well, these ARE the candidates and they all suck the bag, but not voting this time around is not a smart option to choose.… Read more »
I hear this a lot- that if the FBI and CIA had been talking we could have prevented 9/11. As a career intel guy I am not so sure.
I have been in similar situations with CT ops in theater with very open info sharing between various agencies where smart, experienced intel analysts and operators were only able to piece the info together after the incident.
We have the benefit of hindsight, and we simply cannot look at the available information objectively as if we did not know what was going to happen. In other words, even if one person had all of the available information prior to 9/11 with enough time to act, I doubt they would have been able to piece together much more than ‘Al Qaeda is going to attack, and it has something to do with airplanes’.
In pre-9/11 America, this would not have been enough ‘actionable intelligence’ (a term I hate, because it is usually used by leaders afraid to take risks) to do anything that would have stopped the attacks.
People often use puzzles as a metaphor for intel, so puzzle pieces are bits of information that you have to piece together.
Its a pretty good metaphor, but what most people miss is that unlike most puzzles, where you know how many pieces there are and what the picture is, when it comes to intel you don’t know what the picture is, and the pieces are distributed among several people that may or may not know that they are are putting a puzzle together.
I have to concur. Based on how much the IC had neglected the threat from Islamic extremist terrorism during the prior 8 years due to misguided Administration policy under Clintoon, expecting the US IC to collectively “get its act together” well enough to have predicted 9/11 in less than 8 months probably was not reasonable.
If you elect to treat a declared war as a LE matter, you cede the initiative to the enemy. From 1996 on, when bin Laden publicly declared war on the US – and arguably since the WTC bombing in 1993 – that’s precisely what the Clintoon Administration did: treat the threat from radical Islamic terrorism as a routine LE matter.
Ex-PH2 – The neat thing about being in space is that you have no sense of smell…
That is incorrect.
In space, no one can hear you scream.
And if you think I’m out of my tiny little mind because my opinion is not as dismal as yours, please note that today is Friday the 13th and Mercury is retrograde. Have a fun time in traffic, sport.
Friday. the. 13th.
And I took my car to the shop today for service.
Oh HELL no!!! Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!
Genghis Khan had the right idea. Yot kill all the men, all the boys, and all the pregnant women. Then you rape all of the remaining females so that only mongol babies are ever born in the region. Something like 60 percent of all males on the asian continent are related to the Khan thru DNA testing.
That is what you do to people that show you their asses.
Just say’n.
So are you saying we should do what Milosevic did in the Balkans, and engage in ethnic cleansing or something?
Just trying to understand here.
Apparently I offended someone with my use of c**t.
coot, however, is an old crotchety person.
You made me go back to reread for stuff which did not offend me on first reading. Still couldn’t find anything offensive.
As for anyone who elects to be offended by your use of the word c**t, good thing none of us cares. Correct use of a word, any word, is never offensive.
Furthermore, those looking for something to be offended by will almost always find it. What a colossal waste of time.
So, what I learned is that anyone can be a d**k but c**ts are age dependent. Got it. Dorks and coots.
And that, Cav, is mastery of ambiguity. Cheers.
