Gee. That’s Too Bad.

Seeing this certainly makes me smile:

Judge rules for House Republicans in ObamaCare lawsuit

No, it’s not the final word on the matter; the decision will certainly be appealed.  But it’s a promising first step towards correcting that damnable, idiotic error called the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act – AKA “ObamaCare”.

The stooped party could have achieved the same result if they had just done their effing job and NOT FUNDED the effing thing.
Pussies.

Hey, I think I’m first or something……

CWORet

I had my first first yesterday. Feels good, don’t it? You suppose we spend a bit to much time refreshing the TAH homepage?

OC

Not nearly as much time as Claw and Skippy 😉

Claw

Chief, the only First that really counts is being the First on the Weekend Open Thread.

Just ask 2/17 Air Cav. He’s the Roberts Rule of Order kind of guy.

It looks like a new trend is being set.

You want to see a new trend? Watch this prophecy! It is an hour long, but well worth anyones time to watch it…imho

2/17 Air Cav

It’s not the only first that counts. I was first with Crazy Sally in a buddy’s van somewhere around Clarksville, TN. He was driving so…First!

Silentium Est Aureum

Sadly, if Hillary wins, and (God forbid) the Demo ever take over Congress anytime soon, they’ll just say, “Screw it,” pass single payer, and nationalize 1/6 of our economy, with Eurotrash level taxes to go along with it.

B Woodman

‘Bout that time would be for me to stop working, start drawing SocSec, reduce my income to the point where I won’t be paying taxes, and say “Fuck It”.
I know, I know, that won’t stop all of it, but it would be a start. I’d have to do some research to figure out other ways to reduce/stop auto withdraws for MediCare etc.

If Hillary wins we might as well start praying for that planet killing Meteor Strike.

The Other Whitey

Hillary Clinton is a malevolent cunt, and I could see her pushing this country to a point that a popular referendum is held in which votes are cast at 2800fps from improvised fighting positions. Maybe I’m wrong, but let’s hope we never have to find out.

Ex-PH2

Remember these famous words?

“I am not a crook.”

OldSoldier54

Truly, truly, there is nothing new under the sun, but I’m, thinking that Bill and Hillary make Nixon look like Saint Francis of Assisi.

Ex-PH2

Good point. When you have spendthrifts in charge of the bank account, before long, you have no bank account.

Combat Historian

Not a big deal to obamao and his marxist minions; with this avenue shut down, they’ll just find some other illegal/unconstitutional slush fund and procedural mechanism to pay for their agenda items. It’s in their nature…

UpNorth

Wow, a federal judge with more common sense than a bunch of SCOTUS justices? Who would have thought?

Roger in Republic

The administration has pledged to appeal to the US Court of appeals in DC. If congress wins there the case will go to SCOTUS. A tie there will be the same as a win for Congress. Of course it will be late 2017 befor this plays out. Another case of Obama slow walking to get his way.

Ex-PH2

A tie? So you expect the empty seat to stay empty?

I am witness of fact (I think that’s the term) in a civil case that has lasted eight years. Neither party in the case is willing to concede, and their lawyers gleefully continue the tennis match that is this case because, in the end, the lawyers WIN!!

Obamacare is A TAX. I ask you, when is the last time our federal government repealed a TAX??

Point is: don’t hold your breath. I think the lawyers have bills they want to pay.

The Other Whitey

Fuck me running, EIGHT YEARS??!!! You’d think after two or three the judge would get tired of it and tell the lawyers to take it out back and let him know who wins.

USMC MSgt (Ret)

That’s my take as well. It’s all smoke and mirrors.

OldSoldier54

“Obamacare is A TAX.”

Yep. That’s why I didn’t get all bent out of shape when Roberts voted the way he did.

“Bleak House” by Charles Dickens is a novel about a lawsuit over a rocking horse, which ran on for at least two generations, maybe longer but for so long that the original character had grown up and moved away and some of the plaintiffs were dead.

I know the law is flawed in some parts. I want the excise tax repealed, and I’m not quite sure what the PCORI is actually doing or has done. However, a full repeal means that millions of people will have their policies canceled, including some family members of mine (one of whom is a veteran and the other a retired firefighter). What happens to them? is there an alternative that gets rid of the bad and keeps the good, so to speak?

Ex-PH2

When the idiocy that is howbadismycare was summarized by bodaprez, it took him a brief 15 minutes to discuss it. It sounded okay in his little speech, but I wondered what the reality would be. Several years later, after enormous subterfuge, unnecessary secrecy, and power-tripping antics, it was announced to the world, and was, in fact, the biggest mess ever conceived anywhere on this planet.

It was as if a committee of blind elephants decided to put a large animal vet curriculum together to benefit the herd.

Now, what do we have? Unaffordable coverage and insurance carriers that are withdrawing from a labyrinth of idiocy that would confuse the Minotaur.

If you planned to destroy a thriving business that actually does – er, DID provide coverage for people (and this included catastrophic coverage) and employed a lot of people, no one could have done a better job than puglosi, her cronies, and bodaprez.

Congratulations to all of them! May their names be written in the annals of history as the idiots who cost this country and its people more than we can afford.

I don’t see any of those asswipes on Obamacare, do you?

David

Interesting comment by a columnist this morning talking abut how few Berniebots actually understand anything real about Socialism. While they are all over ‘Socialism’ and ‘getting together for the common good’ etc. they are NOT happy when it is suggested the government take over Amazon, Facebook etc. To which the columnist observed – so if you don’t think the government could run Amazon, why in the hell are you letting them run medical insurance?
