Thursday morning feel good stories

| March 17, 2016

Hack Stone sends us our first story this morning from Hampton, Virginia where a 71-year-old man was approached by a pair of teens who pulled out a firearm and demanded the septuagenarian’s money. Instead the man pulled out his gun and shot one of the pair. 18-year-old Jafari Mitchell was DOT (dead over there) at the hospital. His pal is under arrest.

In San Gabriel, California, an off duty LAPD officer was awakened by two burglars in his home, when he confronted them, they fled through a window. As he watched them leave, one of the crooks turned back towards him and reached in his waistband. The officer shot one in the leg and the other in stomach and leg. The second fellow is in critical condition at the hospital.

In Tampa, Florida, a son living with his elderly mother encountered an intruder in his mother’s kitchen and shot him. The criminal was DRT (dead right there) when the police arrived.

In Fresno, California, two intruders forced their way into a home and the homeowner armed himself and shot them both, one was DRT (dead right there) when the police arrived. The other is in the hospital.

Another burglar in Davie, Florida tried his hand at breaking into a police officer’s home while the officer was there. The intruder was DRT (dead right there). There was another burglary nearby a few minutes prior to this one that may have been the same perp.

The moral of the story is don’t fuck with old people.

…or off-duty cops.

Wow, four “D’s” out of five stories, three “DRT’s” and a “DOT”, what a way to start the day! That’s four fewer goblins whose crime careers and birthdays have been canceled and they’ll never again have to be fed, clothed, and housed at taxpayers’ expense!

I’m pretty sure Virginia has felony murder laws, too. So Jafari’s pal is also almost certainly facing murder charges (or soon will be).

Recap: 8 total perps; 4 DRT/DOT, 3 wounded and in custody, and the last in custody and almost certainly facing felony murder charges. Excellent.

That makes today’s armed citizen batting line 8 for 8 with 4 HRs and 3 other extra base hits – plus a 2-base error in conjunction with the single. In my book, that’s a damned impressive day at the plate during a double-header.

Fjardeson

Wow, that’s one hell of a ball game. Not to mention the opposition accidentally running into both the umpire’s team and the senior varsity!

How slow are you if you’re pointing a gun at someone who isn’t holding a gun and they shoot you?

(One of those surprise is in the mind things, I guess.)

Old Trooper

Many DMFs, today, which reduces the possibilities of recidivism nicely.

What a pleasant way to start the day. Warms the cockles of my heart, and raises the blood pressure just enough, in a good way.

LocoLupus

WOO HOO DRTs for everyone!

Atkron

I think Police need to mark their houses so these poor people will know that particular house is not a safe place to break into.

Burglar Lives Matter!

Jeff

But but they were just trying to get money for there school clothes. Why else would they be in the house!

UpNorth

In the words of someone the other day, how Jafari s’pose to git money fo clothes?
Good shooting all around.

I wish reporters would list firearm used and exact type of ammo. Help gun owners out!

Is it just me, or are we raising even more stupid criminals?

Bill M

Or are we weeding more of them out?

(Cleaning out the gene pool, as it were.)

In Tampa lead is served up to a deserving criminal.
