Trump campaign and veterans
This isn’t’ the first tiem it’s happened, certainly, but it does happen entirely too often on both sides of the political spectrum. In a recent campaign video, the Trump campaign, while trying to make a point about the shoddy treatment of veterans by the government in comparison to immigrants showed some veterans gathered for a memorial event. Unfortunately for the producers of the video, it was Russian World War II veterans, not American veterans. According to The Blaze, the Trump campaign removed the Russian vets from the video and reposted it on Facebook after a Cruz campaign social media director noticed it;

This “clown” has had tens of thousands of fed up Americans come to his events to hear him say what 99 percent of politicians are afraid to say but represents the views of many, many Americans. Well, Club Manager, that’s what you see on the surface. What you aren’t seeing is an arrogant ass who will run roughshod over YOUR civil rights, has no real leadership skills but does have a big mouth, and assumes that his financial status gives him the right to be rude as hell to anyone who opposes him, especially women.
And that’s just for starters.
He’s also filed bankruptcy to get out of paying his debts and wants HIS name on everything. He inherited most of the money you’re drooling over. He didn’t earn it.
He may have tons of money and material goods, but that doesn’t make him any better than anyone else in this country.
He also paid a massive cash donation to get Terry McAuliffe elected governor of Virginia – the Democrat McAuliffe who wants to remove your 2nd amendment rights.
Still think he’s wunnaful? What if he wants to put a parking lot where your house is and turn your neighborhood into a warehouse? If material wealth is what you worship, you have a warped view of things.
Hear, hear! The Donald apparently thinks it’s just peachy to seize the personal property of others in order to build one of his YUUUGE hotels or casinos. His red nose and over-sized shoes are well deserved.

90% of politicians at the federal level never served in uniform, and many of the darlings of the left (Biden, Reid, and Bill Clinton) also received either medical deferments or went the college route to avoid military service.

When parties just assume they have your vote or ignore the aspect of the platform that matters they’ve always risked alienating some of the base. This isn’t new, the republicans and the democrats haven’t yet caught on to the shifting reality of the USA. The problem of course being that republicans don’t have a majority of voters in the states that matter therefore their failure to recognize the shifting winds of time is going to cost them the white house from time to time. They might get the white house because folks are sick of Obama, but I’m not certain it’s a lock even if every single republican in the US votes for the GOP candidate because the reality is the largest growing party is independents because they’ve had it with both parties. You say that’s because people won’t stand up for something, but perhaps it’s because both parties want you to stand up for everything on their side and to hell with the folks on the other side. A lot of those independents are people who don’t give a shit about gay marriage but are also not fond of a universal health care plan that could very well destroy most of the small community hospitals across the nation. Which side wants that vote? You blame the people, I blame the parties. The democrats claim to have a great big tent where everyone is welcome, until you hold a dissident voice regarding one of their sacred cows then you can fuck off. One of our founding fathers, I believe, had no use for the two-party system. He prognosticated correctly that we’d end up right where we are now. The electoral college isn’t helping matters, either. The fact is, the system has been rigged in the favor of the politicians, not the voters. We are being allowed to vote so that we feel we still have some choice in what is happening; I, for one, don’t believe it anymore.
I consider myself a moderate, but that doesn’t mean I don’t believe in something. I believe in honor and integrity, in hard work and a fair shake. I believe we need industry but also believe we need to protect certain areas as valuable for their natural beauty and abundant wildlife. I believe we have the best medical care in the world and the worst system of paying for it. I love our military and hate the way it is used and abused. With me so far? I will not, I cannot, continue to vote for the lesser of two evils, particularly when I think the system has been gamed from the start. I will wait and see who the candidates are, before I decide, finally, whether to vote or not.
