Thursday morning feel good stories
In Hopkinsville, Kentucky, Anthony Catlett got in a gun fight with two intruders and shot one of them after they opened fire on him. According to the story, over twenty rounds were fired in the exchange.
In Las Vegas, Nevada a homeowner shot two burglars in his home, one was DRT (dead right there) while the other was rushed to the hospital. The third thief is unharmed and is apparently 13 years old.
In Tulsa, Oklahoma, a father and son teamed up to disarm a convenience store robber and held him for the police after the robber pointed his gun at the father to rob him. Bad move. But, again you should always bring your own gun to a gun fight.
Earlier, we talked about the store clerk who shot and killed a thief in Towson, Maryland. Today we learn that dead thief had an accomplice who has been arrested. Hayes Sample Jr. is currently riding the bench in Baltimore waiting to pay for the sins of his buddy.

I guess that I am going to have to get some commemorative t-shirts printed up for the dearly departed homies. Those t-shirts make great stocking stuffers.
It appears that the surviving MD perp is about to get acquainted with MD’s felony murder laws.
Under MD law, felony murder during the commission of a robbery is apparently 1st degree murder. Unfortunately, MD abolished the death penalty 2 years ago. And it also requires unanimous jury consent for life without parole – and Towsend is near Baltimore, which means it’s in the bleeding-heart liberal part of the state. Absent a really long and heinous prior record, the surviving perp will probably end up back on the street at some point in time.
I probably don’t need to tell you that up here in the liberal northeast we see exactly that kind of bleeding heart crap all the time, not from every community but some are notoriously stupid in that regard.
I always find it amusing when one of my liberal neighbors or in-laws tell me about needing more firearms restrictions here in the Baystate..I usually ask them if they know which charge is the most frequently dropped during plea negotiations, most are shocked to discover the mandatory jail time for illegal weapons possession is the first charge dropped. Which then, of course, leads to guys who use guns to commit crimes being released without any record of having been convicted of any firearms charges.
The laws of unintended consequences are always present whenever government attempts to “fix” something.
13 years old and involved in a life of crime already? Well, that speaks volumes for his ‘family’ thing, doesn’t it?
no doubt
“But he’s such a GOOOOOD boy, turnin’ his life around, an A plus scholar, getting ready for college.”
Shouldn’t the posters of TAH, start a scholarship for the little punk, so after he gets released from juvy he can attend college on our dime?
The post by EX-P about his FAMILY IS 100% correct.
Having been in law enforcement, I saw my childhood peers doing exactly what their parents did, passing criminal acts to their children.
It used to take MY breath away when a perp identified themselves as the child or grandchild of a former peer during questioning after arrest.
One family started with parent, child, then grandchildren using and selling H. The family was a pain in the ass with no knock warrants. They finally moved out of state sick of being raided weekly. It made absolutely no difference in sales of drugs.
Going through high school year books of four years 23 peers died from overdose of drugs.?SAD
Gee, great stories. T-shirts! My grandkid had a T-shirt made for me last year. On front it says..”Grammas old as a Rock” underneath it says “BUT” with a arrow pointing to the back. On the back it says “Try it and she’ll kick your (picture of a butt). Hers say ” My uncle is 6’2 ” on the back a picture of her pinning uncle to the ground. They make T-shirts for $10 and anything is put on.
