Tuesday morning feel good stories

| December 22, 2015

A good Samaritan in Houston, Texas saw some burglars stealing the Christmas gifts and a car from his 83-year-old neighbor, so he grabbed his gun and lit out after the thieves. He told them to stay put until the police arrived, but they jumped in their getaway vehicle. The neighbor put five rounds into the car but they still made their getaway unharmed. The sound of gunfire woke everyone in the neighborhood – except the 83-year-old victim who slept through the whole thing.

In Wheatfield, New York, a homeowner dissuaded two burglars from entering his home when he fired a shot at them while they were on his porch.

In Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, a home invasion suspect was found with multiple gunshot wounds in his legs near the scene of a thwarted crime.

SGT E sends us a story that happened in Cincinnati, Ohio, where a store clerk punctuated an armed thief’s exit from his store with gunfire. The police found the thief nearby nursing his wound.

Hondo sends a link from Annapolis, Maryland where an off-duty police officer was confronted by a thief brandishing a weapon. The officer pretended to pull his wallet from his bag but instead came up with his service weapon and made the 32-year-old DRT (dead right there). It turns out that the thief’s weapon was a toy gun.

3E9 sends us link to an incident in Richland County, South Carolina, where a criminal was shot in the “lower body” by a homeowner.

In Salt Lake City, Utah, an armed EMT with a concealed carry permit shot it out with a driver who had crashed his car and held him at bay until the nut passed out from his wounds and was dragged from his car by police.

In Calumet City, Illinois, a 68-year-old concealed carry permit holder defended himself and his son from an armed thief on the street.

In Las Vegas, Nevada, a homeowner went in his bathroom to get ready for work and found an intruder sitting on his crapper, so he got his gun and ran the thief out with two warning shots. The criminal made his getaway on a bicycle before the police arrived.

Never bring a toy gun to a real gun fight.

Really a bicycle? does not LVPD have gas powered vehicles?

Frankie Cee "In the clear"

Legally armed citizens are doing a good job of protecting themselves. Be a survivor, not a statistic.

Warning shots? Really? What a waste of ammunition. ANd no “D” (DOT/DRT) to go with it.
People get it through your heads (figuratively). There. Are. NO. Warning. Shots. Only wasted ammunition and lost opportunities to stop Bad Guys.

‘The 83-year-old slept through it.’ Yes, that’s the trouble with being 83. Nothing disturbs you, not even burglars in the night. A bomb could go off down the street, and you just roll over to the other side and go on snoring.

Oh, that fellow who was shot in the lower body: one can only hope it’s reduced his chances of reproducing. But what do I know?
