TAH on Veterans’ Corner
MCPO and I (TSO called in sick) were on the radio last week with Don Buzney of the radio show, Veterans’ Corner on WRSU, 88.7 FM, New Brunswick, NJ (radio.rutgers.edu).
In case you missed our discussion about Stolen Valor, here it is for posterity;
Category: Bloggers
I enjoyed this live last week, you guys were very good. Was worth the listen to all who might have missed it.
If I said it once, I’ll say it again, nothing personal to Don but….
It bugs me that I think he can’t pronounce Jonn’s last name right.
(Nor can I for that matter)
Lil-lee-aye
Lil-YAY
Lil-Yah
Lil-Lee-Yahh
Eee-Eye-Eee-Eye-Oh….
Oh and Aw…Hooey
😉
All three of you are great guys.
After listening to this (still listening), I can’t tell you how happy I am to continuingly recommend this site to my Veteran (and other) friends. I never thought there were so many scumbags around taking from the honorable among us….trust me, I now meet Vets with a more critical and skeptical eye.
Damn…you guys were/are great!!
There’s a lot of respect coming from this part on NY!
To be clear…..I’m a Lawn-guy-lander! For the uninitiated – that’s Long Islander. 😉
In Manhattan we make fun of you islanders and how you say, “loong’ guy land”!
KMIA! lol
Agreed. I`m afraid I may have become over-critical in eye-balling vets since I began reading at TAH. ie: If you are sporting a leather vest adorned with medals, patches, and shit I will look at you with much skepticism, and perhaps even with stink-eye.
For the record – it’s Lil-yah.
Is miscreant just another word for dickweed?
On a serious note, all of my respect to Mr Jonn Lilyea and Mr. Terrence Hoey. Also, Mr. Mark Seavey and family, I hope you are well.
Miscreant = Dickweed!
Regarding your next appearance, if I may:
Squirrel hunting stories! (details man)
and
MORE COWBELL!
Oh, you want cow bell?
You got it!
By the way, squirrel hunting story was total bullshit. But we do enjoy squirrel stew at the local Briggs and Stratton engine shop on occasion.
If I told you what I really did in VT that weekend you would be proud! We were growing strong kids … Future Leaders.
However, I need to project an alternate schedule, location and purpose per recommendations from FLEO’s who are tracking on adversaries with respect to death threats made last year.
Pay backs suck long and hard! But the justice system works ev er so slowly.
I was hoping that Bernasty (No Gas) was going to call in.
We weren’t!
That’s true their was no need for any of his catheter induced self loathing.
Awesome !!!!!!!
HOOOOOAH !!!!!!!
I finished listening and was not disappointed. Good job guys!
A quick personal story pertaining to the subject of stolen valor.
I may have posted this before – but not sure….one of my SF sons gave me a camo hat with the words, “US SPECIAL FORCES” across the front. I was out somewhere and a guy came up to me and asked, “where did you serve?” I stammered a bit and explained that it was a gift from my son and that I was never in SF.”
Needless to say, I saved the hat but never wore it again. Yeah, I was pretty uncomfortable that someone may think I was a stolen valor scumbag.
You Tube made me edit the music out. I don’t know if the editing thing worked, but if you hear music, don’t listen to it.
music was fine !!!!! 🙂
1. why were you not allowed to say any names ???
2. great interview are you two doing it again ????
and that’s all from me 🙂
We don’t want to say any names!
More, yes!
We will be on 60 Minutes in January.
History Channel in February.
Cooking Channel in March.
And RTV in April.
The late spring early summer line is iffy due to contract disputes between me and Lilyea over catering requirements. Jonn likes beef and chicken, I want pork sausage and blood pudding.
HOOOOOAH !!!!!!!!
I have no idea what they say in the Navy but above is all Army
That is so North Korean.
The station provided it!
Let them pay the royalitiesismist!
Argh!
The music was the best part!
Word ^^^^^
Gee whiz, what can someone featured on TAH say about this – naaahh, that critter had one of his webpages SHUT DOWN! 😀
More than one, actually.
More than one? Do tell, if possible.
In case anyone would like to see the library of shows …
