An open letter to the MRFF trolls
Over on our discussion of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation and the Army’s “Fighting Knights” sign in Hawaii, Mikey Weinstein’s band of trolls have taken exception with my characterization of Weinstein as a “punk troublemaker” in the Facebook comments. I have other more appropriate terms at my disposal if you’d like to test my vocabulary.
They also complain that I said that Mikey “likes all religions except Christianity”. According to an email that he sent a Marine commander, also in Hawaii, that’s true. It seems that the Marine Corps base had a sign that said “God Bless the Military”. Mickey’s MFers emailed a few suggestions for other signs the Corps can put up in the area, according to Military.com, something more acceptable, in their view;
On Sept. 30, the group sent a second letter to Killeen offering a third alternative — that the base allow signs representing other gods to be erected next to the original one. Some suggestions offered were: “Yahweh Bless …,” “Allah Bless …,” “Goddess Bless …,” and “There is no god to bless … We have each other.”
Yeah, those suggestions for additional signs all approve any religion except Christianity (you know, although “God” is generally recognized as the Supreme Being in a couple of religions; Judaism, Christianity and Islam all have their roots in the same God’s word, the Old Testament). The implication that “Allah” would be an acceptable alternative kind of illustrates my point that Weinstein and his MFers don’t particularly like Christianity (and probably Judaism, too).
The MFer trolls claim that some of them are Christians yet they support Weinstein’s efforts. Like that is supposed to change my mind. I guess they are whiny little punk troublemakers, too.
Before I get called names that don’t apply to me, I’ll let the newcomers know that I haven’t set foot in a church in about twenty years, I don’t adhere to any particular religion, but me and the Supreme Being have an agreement. I’ll behave myself but that he shouldn’t expect regular scheduled conversations with me. I support every religion and their tenets, I respect everyone’s right to believe what they want and I’ll promise that I won’t interfere – unless it’s to protect the innocent. I will however point out hypocrisy when I see it, and Mikey Weinstein and his little band of trolls reek of hypocrisy. And they don’t like being in some judgmental spotlight – I think that’s their whole complaint about Christianity anyway.
Category: Dumbass Bullshit
Yep. You should have gone with Punk-Ass Troublemaker, instead of just plain punk, Jonn.
These are the types of people who have been complete failures their whole lives (and continue to be such) and feel that since their lives are so miserable, they want to try to make others miserable as well.
Well Mikey, it doesn’t work. I don’t need a wooden sign to express my thoughts and beliefs. I can exercise my 1st amendment rights in other ways, just like you and your butt-buddies express your ignorance and pettiness. If you think you’re making a difference, you’re sadly mistaken. But “sad” is what your life is, so I guess you’re used to that.
My first name happens to be Michael.
No one, except my Dad when he was alive, would ever call me Mikey.
Mikey?? At his age?
I thought perhaps it was a stage name for a comedian, or maybe the leader of the LGBT’s in his state…..certainly an admirable pursuit if that’s your thing.
Mikey…..yeah, I’d slap anyone upside the head if they addressed me as “Mikey.”
Maybe I’ve finally matured.
LIghten up, Mikey.
*snickers and runs away*
I owe you one! lol
Q: WHAT do you give a little old lady for her birthday?
A: Give her Mikey, he’ll eat anything!
*ducking and sprinting my ass off*
Literally…..laughing my ass off!
Still laughing!
You know, I do not see what the Left has against Christianity. It’s actually something they should embrace. Love they neighbor, turn the other cheek, charity, mercy, kindness, forgiveness–all these things and more are Christlike, which, of course, makes it very difficult to be a good Christian.
When I want an extra e I can’t ever find one! Love thy neighbor.
Yo Mikey

I……HAD to Google it….and I’m sorry I did. You did warn me though.
Ewwww…you can’t ever un-see that…
And I thought I was…..worldly? NOT! Jeeze!
“DO NOT Google Goatse”. If that isn’t like moth’s to a flame I don’t know what is.

At least you warned us. Jumpin Jesus that was disturbing at 0748 on a Sunday
Damn, you’re good at that, Chief.
My cat objects to anyone using his name in vain. Whinestein must find himself a new moniker. STAT!
Gut, Hauptbootsmann. Sehr gut.
Danke.
100 Gold Points from the House of Skippy
For my money, Mikey Whinestein should sit down, sack up, and STFU. Alternatively, he can go urinate towards the top end of a stout piece of strong cord made from twisted natural fiber currently being used to suspend a large weight.
In other words, he can go p!ss up a rope.
Whinestein’s little more than someone who gets his jollies from needlessly stirring the sh!tpot. His words are merely “a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing”.
I’d amend that to …someone who makes 250+ thousand a year to get his jollies…
If not for the internet and for people dumb enough to support his “organization of one”, he’d be living in mom’s basement still.
“[B]ut me and the Supreme Being have an agreement. I’ll behave myself but that he shouldn’t expect regular scheduled conversations with me.”
Pretty much sums up my POV as well.
And memo to Mikey the Punk-Ass Troublemaker, et al:
If you get butthurt so easily by the mere concept of a Christian (or any other) God, or have the time and effort to spare to waste on removing any reference of same, then you really don’t have it so bad.
Maybe some of those ISIS folks will give you a little heads up (or is that off?) about what religious persecution REALLY means.
Mikey Weinstein is such a cute little Jewish name. I’m sure he heard all about religious persecution from his older relatives when he was growing up, but has chosen to piss in their graves too. Shame.
Edit- on not in….
Mikey WHINEstein can go piss on an electric fence like these goobs did:
Stupid does right there…
My inquiries into the estimated $300,000 in compensation Mikey is taking home have gone completely unanswered, at least by Mikey anyway. At the risk of seeming nihilistic or capricious at best, I have very little respect for religion of any kind. I do however, have a deep and abiding respect for the right to worship as you choose. The caveat of course is that it brings no harm and does not pick my pocket.
Mikey, as I continuously point out, is not Atheist. Judaism is a rather complex dogma and as it almost always is the case, a cacophony of denominations. I have no idea which particular dogma of the faith he ascribes to, but he identifies as Jewish.
The lexicon of secular activists can often become more divisive than illuminating. I can be guilty of that very thing. Attacking signs of religious design while clutching to the belief that all people not of your particular birth right are lesser beings seems ironic to me. Cervantes pens the Man of La Mancha knowing full well Quixote is a figment of his imagination.
I am beginning to think the followers of Mikey have no idea they are jousting about at wooden signs lead by a man who believes their threat is real. There have been accusations that our fearless leader here has compunction to become Quixote like by jousting with mailboxes. The difference here would be must of his loyal followers has some feeble grasp on the distinction between fact and fantasy.
Mikey does the secular cause little justice. But what the hell, for $300,000 a year I could become dogmatic about almost anything.
As I am often obliged to do this time of year, may I wish you and those you love,
HAPPY HOLIDAYS AND A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS
your friend, the Atheist.
You do all right for a “Probie”, Probie. May be hope for you yet. bwahaha!
As you know, I am on Behavioral Probation for the holidays. It appears I have told one too many people to get the fuck out my face lately.
Maybe its age, I honestly thought I would mellow. Seems the opposite has happened. Not that I have ever been known for my mellow nature.
Let’s leave poor old Cervantes out of this, Dave. We’ve got bigger philosophical fish to fry. Here’s what I want to know:
Mikey’s demand for the Marine Corps sign is different from the one for the Army. He doesn’t want it removed, he wants it supplemented with nine additional signs to include the “Baha’i faith, the Jedi church and the Church of Satan” among others.
By way of a one-hand-clapping Zen koan, if somebody demanded a sign with depraved midget acrobats wearing Stars of David, would Mikey be offended by naked little people, or the Stars of David, or both, or not at all?
Here’s your answer, Perry.
M. Whinestein is a spoiled, smarmy little snot who needs to have his ass end whipped until he has to eat his dinner standing for about a week.
Like someone else, whose dumbassery I will not invoke herein, he wants everyone to kowtow to his demands. His offensive is much more offensive because he makes cash from being an intolerant asswipe. It’s not about religion. It’s about how much cash he can extract from something or someone.
Stop talking Over me !
I knew that, ma’am. I was merely wondering in what way Mikey would rationalize being offended in order to collect his $300,000, and not if he actually was offended or not.
Sort of along the lines of if a Mikey falls in the forest, do deer dance the flamenco if no one is there to see them?
This is deep stuff, damnit. Deep.
I believe the only thing that will offend Mikey will be his donations drying up.
When I am not busy being the sarcastic village idiot around here I am engaged in the topic. I try not to bring too much of that crap here, it gives Jonn gas. throws off his ammo count and requires bunker venting.
A while back he pissed off the Scientologists, the Sea Org will be coming for his ass. He seems to keep peace with the Mormons only because there are a few moles lurking about these parts.
Now he has a Jew on his ass. You have no idea how hard it is to ignore the fertile soil of that topic. I hope he is circumcised, Jews like anything 10% off.
Try being married to a Jewish Nymphomaniac, that’s a gal that wants to do it even if she just had her hair done!
Sounds like my first girlfriend……OMG! The memories.
Then I married another Irish Catholic! (5 kids later)
One man’s crisis is another Democrat’s opportunity and when sufficient crises don’t serve themselves up, they are concocted. In this instance, the concocted crisis takes the form of words directed at Wensteen/Winestein/Whatever. The opportunity created? He’s a victim and needs others to rally to his defense. So, just keep those donations rolling in, defenders. Baby need a new pair of golden shoes!
“He [Mikey Weinstein] is interested in not allowing religious zealots to make use the military to pursue their religious agenda. He is defending the constitutional separation of church and state.”
Commissar, TAH, 17 November 2015
Now, I know what some of you are thinking, that it wasn’t a troll that contacted Mikey. Shame on you. And me.
I’m sure that Mikey, being the good little prole he is up there in Bezerkley, can enlighten us all and show us where separation of church and state shows up in the Constitution.
Edit: Lars, not Mikey.
But on second thought, what the fuck. He can jump in there too.
Weinstein reminds me of those backrow truckstop ho’s that only come out after its dark. For Mikey, his trolls and anyone else involved in such actions…GFY. Sideways in the ear, with a frozen trout.
Yeah, among Truckers they’re known as “Lot Lizards” and I say Mikey WHINEstein can go fuck himself sideways with a barrel cactus wrapped in asbestos!
He was not saying to remove the “God bless” sign as long as other signs were put up alongside it that recognizes other faiths.
He does not favor all religions except Christianity. He favors a genuine separation of church and state and he strongly opposes command using their position to advocate, even subtly, a specific religious view or set of views.
Standing up for separation of church and state, and representing military members who feel the command is favoring a specific religious belief or set of beliefs is not trolling.
The MRFF wins much of the time because they are usually right. The command is doing something that demonstrates a religious preference.
If commanders would stop using their position to spread or encourage their faith then the MRFF would not be an issue and would cease to exist.
OK KID, then when has your boy Mikey WHINEstein screeched for the total removal of say, teaching kids about islam in public schools or the removal of Buddhas, Stars of David or crescents from public property o thin-shinned pinky-poo with skid marks in his tighty whiteys?
you are not worth my time.
First, take a few remedial lessons in punctuation and grammar, my pissy little powdered creampuff, QUIT making feeble excuses your inadequacies! Being an MI Anal-cyst requires one to have SOME brains, but I’ve seen a LOT of shammers and profile riders in those slots!
Translation:
You got nothing. Admit that your boy is a one trick pony with an anti-Christian bent.
Bullshit. I think too many Christians think the government should give favoritism to Christianity and its policies should be in line with the Christian faith.
I have a problem with that. Just like I have a problem with Islamic fundamentalists trying to establish governance according to Sharia law.
So again, explain why your boy only goes after anything that might have a possible Christian bent?
“I think too many Christians think the government should give favoritism to Christianity and its policies should be in line with the Christian faith.” L. Taylor
Let’s assume that’s true, although I have no doubt that it is false. So what? I realize that in the Amerika you and yours seek, Americans are to have a singular perspective, but that Amerika has not yet arrived and American Christians are free to seek precisely what you describe. And if you do not see the difference between a Christian-based agenda within constitutional parameters and the practice of Sharia law, you must be the CEO of Blind by Choice, Inc.
You left out the part where you say, “Fuck you all. You are pieces of shit.” That’s always my favorite part of your sanctimonious drivel.
You piece of shit.
Where in the Constitution does it say there is a separation of church and state? I’m seriously curious. All I’ve ever read about that topic is a letter written to a church group inquiring about the control the government would have over the church or control the church would have over the government. You know, like the King of England controlled the church.
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof”.
And we know that the founders understood that to mean because of this written by Thomas Jefferson:
“Believing with you that religion is a matter which lies solely between Man & his God, that he owes account to none other for his faith or his worship, that the legitimate powers of government reach actions only, & not opinions, I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should “make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof,” thus building a wall of separation between Church & State. Adhering to this expression of the supreme will of the nation in behalf of the rights of conscience, I shall see with sincere satisfaction the progress of those sentiments which tend to restore to man all his natural rights, convinced he has no natural right in opposition to his social duties.”
And just to be clear; the separation of church and state is no-negotiable to many Americans. It is fundamental to our social contract. There are a lot of authoritarian theocrats like you that think that there was never intended to be a serration. You and your ilk keep trying to move toward a theocracy.
Well it won’t happen, we will have a second American revolution before we fall into a society of Christian theocratic rule.
I consider anyone trying to establish a state religion to be traitors. Literally. Traitors.
There is no difference between what ISIS is trying to do and what Christian theocrats want to do. Both theocratic authoritarian thugs.
In order for Christian theocrats to establish a theocratic state they would need to dismantle our 3 branches and the constitution. We would fall into a failed state and splinter into different regions.
But look at your muslim pals infesting other countries and demanding that THEY switch to sharia law, ‘lil Pinky-puffy!!
“Congress shall make no law…”
CHECK
“… or prohibiting…”

Gee, looks like the sign should have stayed. Like I give a rats ass. STFU Lars.
Lars. Once again you take center stage, direct the spotlight onto yourself, begin to pontificate (pun intended) and fart loudly. Your jurisprudential inadequacies and your Reader’s Digest level knowledge of US Constitutional law are appalling. In fact, based on what you wrote, I can see that it will be of no use to try to educate you. And you want to convert others? As I have written before, you are a sterling example of the what the Left offers. It may play with the ignoramuses of the kind who elected and re-elected oBaMa, but it just won’t work here.
Yep. I hear that the Christians are going to start conducting weekly beheadings of non-christians in Times Square sometime after the beginning of the year. CBN will be broadcasting live each week.
Equating ISIS and Christianity – Lars you are a pusbucket.
There was a time in the United States when religion was more prominent in the public sphere than it is today. A time when there were teacher-led prayers in public schools, and crosses and Nativity scenes on public property. The United States was not a theocracy then, and it never has been. And if we tell all of the Mikey Weinsteins to take a hike, and keep the Fighting Knight mascots and “God Bless Our Military” and “God Bless America”, it still won’t be a theocracy.
Should have added we had crosses and Nativity scenes without folks like Weinstein publicly crapping their drawers in response.
Unlike some people (well, one idiot, anyway) who thinks the Constitution prohibits what you described, Mr Bill, it was as you say for a long, long time–most of the country’s existence thus far–and it was, once again, a few lawyers in black robes who changed matters.
I REALLY MISS the good old days when people were’t such a bunch of candyassed perpetually offended PUSSIES!!
I’m offended by the fact that I’m not allowed to be offended.
So, it’s about Congress passing laws? Okay, point out where it states anything about a military post having a sign that anyone can read and/or ignore?
Does this mean no praying or making deals while under heavy or rockets(etc)are impacting around you. This tells both Mikey and carp have never been in combat. Joe
Didn’t someone using the moniker of L. Taylor and bearing a striking resemblance to a total douche-bag tell us all he was DONE with TAH? Yes, I could have sworn that happened… welcome back troll boy. Oh, and you, like most intellectually bankrupt pseudo-Constitutional wanna be scholars, fundamentally misunderstand the intent of Jefferson’s letter to the Danbury Baptist Church regarding a wall of separation. Just the fact that when asked where in the Constitution does it say those words you cite said letter tells us just exactly how much you don’t know of the founders views regarding religion and its place in our society.
LARS!!!
Tag your it.
Ach, scheiss! Die Affenschwanz! Er redet immer Scheißdreck. Das einzig interesseante an Seiner Lebensgeschichte ist, wie Sie aus dem Versuchslabor entkommen bist.
PH2, Showoff…
Well, it’s true, Stixx.
Mikey reminds me the meaning of the word SCHMUCK. Thank God we still have strong leadership in the Corps. This makes me wonder if Mikey is leading up to sponsoring some Syrians for them to move into his neighborhood.
More like a fercoct faygala of a GONIFF and a Khnyok as well. Hey Mikey WHINEstein, “Lign in drerd un bakn beygl!”.
I am Groot.
Jonn,
Tip of the hat on article and don’t worry about any such conversations with the Man Above. Do doubt many here and about speak to him about you on occasion.
OVER!
You know, for wanting religious freedom, they sure are working hard to remove the freedom of choice from service members.
I used to run by that sign every morning and no one ever had a problem with it being there. It establishes nothing and anyone getting their panties in a bunch over it needs to sack up and start acting like an adult.
Ass wipes like WHINEstein and Larsy-pinky remind me of one of my Dad’s sayings, “Here’s a nickel, get a life!”!
What a waste of four years at USNA. His time would have been better spent at UC Berkley.
Mikey didn’t go to the USNA (Thank God).
He attended the military’s version of UC Berkley, the AFA at Colorado Springs.
Interesting. I wonder why he shows up as a member of our alumni chapter? I’ll need to inquire.
“Dear Mikey,
The fascists and religionists at This Ain’t Hell are at it again. Here’s the link to that site again so that you can see for yourself. Keep up the good work! ****”
“Dear ****,
Thanks for the heads up on that. I’m on it. By the way, I didn’t see a donation from you this month. I hope you’ll double up this month! Mikey”
Disclaimer: The foregoing communication intercept is parody and the creation solely of this commenter. Any similarity to actual people, living or dead, is altogether intended.”
It’s gonna be hard to donate. It appears that I can’t find any dollar bills with “In God We Trust” not written on them.
Sorry Mikey.
I’m guessing he’s offering alternate suggestions because they told him to F.O. the first time.
What’s a shame is that this story will probably net him some more donations that he’s going to use for his own comfort.
However, I’m guessing he’s also an Obama voter and as such won’t be questioned by the IRS or anyone in the administration.
I’m sure that Mikey WHINEstein and his ilk would screech about and condemn videos like this while they bemoan about and berate Christians and Christianity:
How come Mikey doesn’t come here to explain stuff for himself? Is Lars his designated butt-buddy for TAH?
You meant “fluffer”. Aight?
There’s no money in it, it’s too great a risk, and why should he when there are people who will do his bidding for him and send him money to boot?
Does anyone besides me get the feeling that Lars the Dumb Corn-eating Carp is proselytizing his VERY OWN ANTIRELIGIOUS VIEWS?
I figure that my personal preference is my business, not someone else’s, and someone else’s preference is none of my business, and he’d better not TRY to make it my business.
So Lars the Carp is out here trying to convert all of us disinterested individuals to HIS way of thinking and we object to it. And he just can’t stand that.
Want some corn, Carp?
He is causing me to consider abandoning de-conversion.
Ah hell! Look out, people! Probie’s going south now….LOL!
I used to enjoy reading posts on this site. However, all I see lately is mass-smashing of ideals, without true thought to the ideal at hand. As a veteran with 18+ years, I’m kind of sickened by the the responses that I read. A. The bashing of the president. (99.9% of the crap that occurs has nothing to do with him). B. this site has slowly become a site to bash our current commander in chief. I know most of you no longer serve, and I thank you for your service, but younger kids need to make their own opinions, hopefully not influenced by others whom trash talk our CIC and all others, just because you may not like their policies.
I’ve BTDT in a number of different countries. I just don’t see a need to turn this wonderful forum into a political forum. This should be a place where us vets can have a nice chat. Just a thought
The leadership of any organization bears the ultimate responsibility for success or failure of said organization. The leadership should set the tone and goals and support fully those who are charged with accomplishing the mission.
Have you seen any of that from the current CinC?
And how did Jonn, et al, treat the previous administration?
This blog has always been political, with a very conservative bent. Troll much?
Our office had a pre-Thanksgiving party during work hours. A colonel (in uniform) offered that a lieutenant colonel (in uniform) give the blessing. What was given wasn’t the typical military generic prayer, but one that invoked God and Christianity. No one burst into flames or fell to the floor in convulsions, but I did ask the lieutenant colonel if I should name him or the colonel in my EO complaint.

I always liked this, from Kenny Rogers. It applies to everything.

FWIW: at the time of her death, Joplin indeed owned one of the cars mentioned in “Mercedes Benz” – which was one of the final two songs she ever recorded. (Sources differ on whether she recorded the song “Happy Trails” as a birthday wish to John Lennon before or after she recorded the Benz song.)
However, what she owned wasn’t a Benz; she owned a Porsche. She’d bought it a couple of years earlier – then paid $500 to have a friend give it a psychedelic paint job.

Jonn, like you, I haven’t set foot in a church in 20+ years, except for my father’s funeral. In addition, I don’t agree with formal religion and have been on my own spiritual journey deciding the diffetence between what I have been taught and what I believe. I have studied other religions, and am no where near versed in all of them. I don’t consider myself an atheist or a Christian. Given that, I would never ask anyone to put aside their own for my lack thereof. Although I believe religion does a lot of harm, especially given the current climate, I also believe religion does a world of good. If anyone had half a heart they would understand that the people on this site are not religious bigots but turn to religion and their beliefs for comfort. My own father, never a man who lived by God but by good deeds because he was a human in humanity, turned to God and Jesus in the end. I haven’t yet still believe in humanity. These people picking on a little fraction of a group of cadets, who I have learned choose these things as a makeup of their own group, is not representative of anything but who they are as a group and may change over time. It is disgusting to me, as a non practicing anything that someone would attempt to force the rule of separation of state and religion as one of complete ignorance of the religion that exists. That rule is to not deny anyone the right to practice whatever religion they choose. If a group of cadets chooses to be atheist, then I have no doubt they would be Allowed to make their group, troop, battalion, etc., representative of the whole while accommodating the outliers. Of the military I know, I cannot imagine them being anything but welcoming of other religions, especially if they enter passivly. This is not a fight of religion. This is a fight of ideals, values, and fanaticism. MFCC or whatever the heck they call themselves doesn’t work for the people. It… Read more »
I guess the MFers aren’t accustomed to public criticism. They live in their little bubble echo chamber where everyone tells them how smart they are. Just like IVAW, VoteVets and IAVA. If they want a war, let it begin here with us.
What the hell. I’m in.
When I went out to feed the birds this morning, my glass-panel storm door was fogged up. Humidity level is 91% around here, despite the cold, and the sun is out, so I don’t think the cold will stand up to it.
But I saw my cat licking the moisture off the glass in the bottom panel and I told him to stop or his tongue would stick to it. Then I thought of Whinestein, and I started laughing and scared the birds off.
I don’t see the pitter-patter of kids on the screen. Maybe mommy n daddy grounded ’em from their basement lairs, told ’em to git outdoors and play with the dawg or something?
I think some folks who like to cite the “establishment” bit of the First Amendment, conveniently ignore the “nor prohibit the free exercise thereof” part.
It does not say “except if you are a (whatever)”. The Senator or Captwin has the same right to express religion as anyone else, including prayer, et cetera.
“he must not say anything about/in favor of/ touching upon religion” also would run afoul of ” no religious test”
Testing for the absence of something is still testing.
just because you work for the state in some fashion, you do not have your rights neutered.
“Speak not of faith” is little different from ” have none of that one” which is as prohibited as ” have this one”
