Saturday morning feel good stories

| November 7, 2015

We start off this morning in Lansing, Michigan, where a homeowner held off eight burglars – eight…burglars – with his firearm while he waited for police to show up. The homeowner hit two of them who were picked up by the police quickly. The other six were rounded up in the next few hours. The homeowner wasn’t injured. But, no one needs more than five or six rounds, right?

In Colorado Springs, Colorado, 54-year-old Joseph Carrigan was shot and DRT during his burglary attempt.

In Scripps Ranch, California, a man was chasing folks with a hammer and a knife and destroying property on the street when someone put an end to his episode with a legal weapon and rang his bell. Police said that his injuries weren’t life-threatening despite being hit in the noggin. I guess his head was pretty well empty. I’m sure the editorial board of the Washington Post would oppose the violent end of the nutjob’s rampage.

Police in Denver, Colorado, are looking for Carlos Ayala who tried to burglarize a home, but got sliced up pretty badly by a homeowner with a knife.

Also, in Denver, Colorado, a former police officer who moved to Denver from Fresno, California, shot a burglar who tried to force his way into the man’s home. The criminal was DRT.

Pretty good “batting line” for the good guys in what appears to have been a double-header:

12 total perps; 2 perps DRT, 3 wounded and in custody, 6 other perps in custody, and one perp wounded and on the run. That’s like going 12 for 12 with 2 HR, 3 other extra-base hits, and 7 singles. Plus, no intended victims apparently were hurt. Nice.

The weed & even middle age apparently hasn’t mellowed out the banditos in Cholerado.

The SJW’s will be aghast that the homeowner fired at those precious yutes, disregarding the fact that at least one of the yutes was armed. I wonder, did any of the schools that the eight “13 to 18 year olds” attended call their homes and wonder why their future BLM members werent’ in school?

Here is the bad news. If those perps were smart enough to learn from their experiences – that is, the ones that are still alive – they wouldn’t have done it in the first place. There are many people who are this clever. New ones are born every day and others die one way or another. We do not proactively arrest people like this, we wait until they do something criminal. Because we do it this way, sometimes a good guy will get hurt or get killed – that is one price of our system.

There will always be crime in America. There will never be enough cops. The rest of us need to be able to deal with it when it happens to us.
