Clinton out of touch with veterans
Hillary Clinton demonstrated how out of touch she is with veterans’ issues when she went on some guy’s show on MSNBC and told Raymond, or Rachel, or whatever his name is that “issues within the VA have “not been as widespread as it has been made out to be”” according to CNN. John McCain shot back;
“I don’t know what Hillary Clinton’s view of what ‘widespread’ is but facts are stubborn things,” the 2008 Republican presidential nominee said on a conference call with reporters.
McCain also took issue with Clinton’s claim that Republicans have made the VA partisan and want to use it to privatize the VA. In doing so, McCain noted that he worked with her Democratic rival, Sen. Bernie Sanders, to pass a VA reform bill.
“Now Hillary Clinton, in her blind ambition, has injected partisanship into the VA issue and that is disgraceful,” he said. “She owes an apology.”
Someone tells us that Hillary is taking her queue on veterans’ issues from her adviser, Phillip Carter. Carter was also Obama’s veteran adviser in 2008. Before that, he was a founding member of Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA) the organization that morphed out of OpTruth – the anti-Bush creation of Paul Rieckoff. Carter also wrote anti-Bush screeds for the Washington Post. To reward him for his work on the Obama campaign, Obama appointed him as the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Detainee Affairs and then fired him a few months later because he couldn’t figure out how to depopulate Guantanamo.
More famously, Carter wrote IAVA’s “scorecard” for the 2008 presidential campaign that was so skewed that Obama scored higher than John McCain on veterans’ issues. Carter hid his participation in that process. The scorecard was simply based on the way the candidates voted on the Post 9-11 GI Bill. After the election, IAVA and Paul Rieckoff tried to strip some of the provisions of the Bill out that Republicans had expressed concern about and tried to delay implementation of the bill.
So, it’s really no surprise to anyone that Hillary is woefully misinformed about veterans’ issues. The word on the street is that Carter recently began the briefing of a group of veterans’ service organizations representatives “Now that VA has solved the backlog…” The VSOs rightly handed him his ass.
Yeah, so who can expect Clinton to be well-informed about veterans’ issues with proven political hacks like Phil Carter advising her? I guess Carter is shooting for the SecDef or DVA director position now.

In addition, her goal is to NOT support the military or veterans or anything that will defend this country from attacks, both exterior and interior. The Clintons have been notorious for treating the military like crap since Bill took office. Why anyone would even think for a second that Hillary would change her spots now is beyond me. Other than a few notoriously far-left wingers, no one has ever even suggested that she has ever been less than a flaming shrew around the service members she has encountered, nor that she has essentially treated anyone as ‘less than the dust beneath her sandals.” Those in the Secret Service who served the Clintons have uniformly described her as a screaming harridan.

When my unit was in Bosnia and the Clintons traveled there, my unit, among others, had to task people to go be handshakers because no one would volunteer to do it. That was the same christmas that Bill said during his reelection campaign “I’ll have you out of there by Christmas!”

How anyone,let alone vets could pull the lever for Hillary just fucking amazes me. This ranks right up there with all the other dishonorable, disgraceful repugnant shit that she’s said and done thru the years. The rightful public exposure and shaming of the VA for its policies and treatment of vets lifted the scab off this decades old festering wound. But Hillary implies it’s not that bad. I wish she and her lot were forced to use the VA (not Bethesda) but then again maybe not as the janitorial staff would have to scrub the facility down to its foundation to remove the stench of sulphur when she left.
A lot of veterans pulled the lever for Obama – twice – who could believe that? Especially the second time after he tried to make service-connected-disabled veterans buy insurance.

But after reviewing all the alleged valor thieves, I did not see Hillary Clinton and her picture when she claimed to have arrived in Kosovo under sniper fire. Hell, she was on film lying about that and even was accompanied with her daughter Chelsie. Are you afraid to post that on your site or is your lawyer concerned. There are three types of scoundrels that fall in the general category of valor thieves. The first are those who claim military service but did not serve at all. The second are those who served but grossly embellished their service by falsely claiming awards, decorations, combat, service in elite units, or any combination of those things. The third type of scoundrel consists of those who never served but falsely claim one or more of the things listed for the Type II group. I do not see how H. “Wideload” Clinton’s lie regarding being sniped fits any one of these any more than Joe “Bite Me” Biden’s lies qualify him to be pictured here for SV or Scrotum Shaver’s claim of having gotten OBL does. Jonn and others here are quite careful about verifying info claimed by the scoundrels. They don’t just will-nilly post bald allegations made regarding someone. Occasionally, some tidbit slips through about one but, after years here, I have yet to see someone placed in a totally false light by TAH. And when those occasional errors do occur, Jonn and the crew set it straight immediately. So, no, no one is afraid to post Clinton’s pic. Lord knows how many times her sniping bullshit has been cited and discussed here, not to mention many other incidents that speak to her low character (e.g., email, personal servers, Benghazi.) Way back in 2008 when she was running for President, I hopped on the Metro at the Pentagon. Sitting in the same car was a chunky guy in civilian clothes wearing a “Veterans For Hillary”. My only thought is that it must be easy to find a parking spot at one of those rallies.
About a year ago, there was a contractor working in the SCIF that would tell anyone that would listen, even those of us that wouldn’t listen, that he was assigned to the White House in the early 1990’s, and when it came time for him to go back to being in the fleet, Bill wanted his tour to be extended, so he spent five or six years at the White House. It may be due to the guy being from Arkansas, or possibly his ability to pick out the fat chicks from the crowd.
