Thursday morning feel good stories
In Hartford, Connecticut, convicted felon Marcus Torres tried to turn his life around with the tip jar at the Barranquitas Mini Bakery. He took off running with his ill-gotten booty and the owner of the bakery was hot on his heels. There was an altercation wherein Torres made a motion that led someone with a legal gun to believe that Torres was reaching for a gun, so the gun owner shot Torres in the leg. Then, Hartford police arrested Torres for the 28th time.
In Knoxville, Tennessee, James Burch and Kelly Ramsey tried to turn their lives around by robbing the local coin-operated car wash, but owners Richard Mitchell, and his 72year-old mother Ima saw them in the act on their surveillance system which sent the images to their cell phones. When they showed up, the two thieves tried to un-ass the AO, but Ima and her revolver were faster and she shot Ms. Ramsey in the arm, which slowed the pair enough that the police caught them.
In Montebello, California, two fellows on the street tried to turn their lives around with the stuff that belonged to a local business owner, when they pulled ther firearms, he showed them his and shot them, One was DRT and the other went a block away and he was DOT. The business owner was also shot, but has non-life-threatening injuries.
In Oklahoma City, Jacob Jarvis went car shopping in someone’s driveway and when the car’s owner didn’t see the benefit of giving Mr Jarvis the car he made Mr Jarvis DRT when Jarvis tried to run him over with his own car. Apparently, Mr Jarvis has done time in prison for his previous car-buying techniques.
In Hancock County, Mississippi, a fellow thought that he could get his ex-wife back by romancing her with threat of violence. The ex-wife called her current boy friend and an ex-boy friend who came over to the apparently one-of-a-kind woman’s new home and waited for the ex-husband. When he showed up, they exchanged words and eventually, that turned into an exchange of gun fire, an exchange that went badly for the ex-husband who was shot twice, but survived.

These losers just cannot grasp the concept that people want to keep what is theirs; from their lives to their goods, and that there are citizens who will help those people who need help in this regard.
Good reading over the morning coffee.
It sounds like the guy in California is a T at Engage Targets with an M9 Pistol but a P at Move Under Direct Fire. The felons were U at both skill level 1 tasks.
‘previous car-buying techniques’ – excellent descriptive phrasing!
Also, I am now a great admirer of Miss Ima. I keep telling people ‘don’t mess with old ladies. We’re cranky.’ Big fan.
Today’s “batting line”: 7 total perps up; all now in custody; 6 ventilated via high-speed lead injection, with 3 taking the long dirtnap. Not a bad “day at the plate” for the good guys.
Too bad about the business owner also getting hurt; glad to see that his injuries aren’t life-threatening. Hope he makes a full and speedy recovery.
Love the baseball reference. What constitutes a cycle? What about a Grand Slam (not that I would know one…. I am a Rangers fan)?
Hasn’t been that long ago that Jonn only posted 1 story each day. Now, business is up and he’s doing several each day just to keep up.
I appreciate every story that’s written on TAH and EVERYONE WHO SERVED MY ADOPTED COUNTRY. THANK YOU ALL MY FRIENDS…
DRT and DOT…way to start the day!
Color me shocked, a SHOOTING in HARTFORD?!? How did this happen? Especially after the Moms Demanded and the Mayor Against Being Mean and Scareded made everyone love each other ’cause they got all the boogymen and evil rifles off the street via Pubic Act 13-3?!
/sarc off
Good for the shop owner! I’d like to offer him some rangetime on my dime, you know, to aid in the endeavor of cleaning up the south end of Hartford in order to restore it from the near-third-world sh!thole it is now.
