Wednesday morning feel good story

| July 1, 2015

In El Cajon, California, three young gentlemen visited their friend to inquire about the lateness of his debt to them. Of course, they felt a need to force their way into his home and to bring their firearm, you know because of their peaceful intentions. The homeowner responded with the Vice Presidential method, a shotgun. One of the youngsters was injured in the resulting blast and went to the hospital. The other two were picked up by authorities later with a quantity of methamphetamine and a playful clown mask.

So, do you need a DRT story? Here’s one from Las Vegas, Nevada where a homeowner made a fellow DRT when he broke into his home. His girlfriend/accomplice is in the hospital recovering from gunshot wounds.

In Orlando, Florida, a teenager shot an intruder to protect his grandparents from some fellows trying to turn their lives around. His invalid grandfather told him to shoot the fellows when they tried to assault the teen. Dude isn’t DRT, but he’s in a medically-induced coma.

In Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Greg Frazier approached a guy on the street and asked for a lighter, when the fellow reached in his pocket, Frazier pulled out his gun and demanded money. The guy came out of his pocket with his own gun and Frazier was DRT.

But then, no one accused them of being smart, 2 DRT and one “Done For”, and one peppered with pellets from a shotgun. It doesn’t take much reasoning to see that these dopes have chosen one hell of a painful vocation.

Just think, more restrictive Gun Control Laws and those two goblins would still be able to rob without worrying about getting hurt or killed. But hey, two DRT’s are better than none.

Old Trooper

The grilfriend/accomplice recovering from gunshot wounds will have a whole lot of time to contemplate a different career path, since she will most likely be charged with murder.

Hondo

Bingo. Nevada’s felony murder law appears to include both burglary and robbery as crimes where an accomplice can be tried for murder if anyone is killed during commission of the base crime.

Excellent DRT stories and the world is a more peaceful place.

Ex-PH2

I must say that more of these successful self-defense stories are a pleasant way to start the day.

Hondo

7 total perps; 2 at room temp, one in a coma, 2 shot and in custody facing felony charges, and the last 2 in custody and facing meth charges.

All in all, not a bad “day at the plate” for the good guys.

Hayabusa

Heck, that’s like two home runs, an RBI, two base hits, and two walks, all in a single inning. Not bad at all.

B Woodman

And the world is a more peaceful place. . . . beginning now.

Thank you Jonn.

A medically induced coma is the next best thing, and with any luck a precursor to, DRT.

Guys, I have an “I was THIS close” story.

Yesterday morning I went to the neighborhood branch of my bank. When I walked up to the door, a woman on the inside of the door opened the door a crack and told me they had had a small emergency and the bank would be closed for a few hours. She then told me I could use the drive through.

I left the bank door, got into my work truck, and began to circle the block so that I could access the drive through. As I was driving around the block my wheels began to turn (no pun intended). I saw a Dallas City Marshals patrol vehicle pull into a 7-11 just two doors up from the bank. I pulled in behind them and told them about my interaction with the bank. They agreed to go check it out. When they got to the bank, the employees told them that the bank had just been robbed and that no one was hurt. About 60 seconds later, there was a helicopter circling overhead. The bank manager told me that when the police showed up, they wondered how the Marshals beat them to the scene.

I guess the guy that robbed them left on foot. I wish the gal that met me at the door had told me that. It is possible I might have been able to counsel him on the street with a, um, 24″ crescent wrench. Maybe next time.

I know I was there at 9:26. It was reported that the robbery occurred at approximately 9:30. I was “this” close.

Also, the guy liberating money at the bank just got out of prison 3 months ago and the robbery yesterday was his second in 3 weeks. They know who he his but they do not have him in custody. From his picture he appears to be a white male in his 50’s, but that may not be how he self identifies.

Pinto Nag

Damn, dude. You be careful out there, okay?

GDContractor

No worries. I have a 24″ chain wrench too.
