Zinke: Obama’s foreign policy fueled the Paris terrorist attack
Breitbart reports that Freshman Congressman, former SEAL Ryan Zinke accused the Obama administration’s failed foreign policy for the attacks on the Paris offices of French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo;
“When America doesn’t lead–and this administration is not leading–then it fuels and it gives hope to Islamic fundamentalists,” Former Navy Commander Rep. Zinke told Breitbart News.
“Yes, it is appropriate to say Islamic fundamentalist, Islamic radicals because that’s what they are,” he continued, adding that by denying to characterize Islamic terrorists for what they are, Obama is further fueling the jihadist movement.
The Montana congressman accused Obama of leading from behind, saying that America needs to assume command and help France, the oldest U.S. ally.
I probably wouldn’t go that far to directly blame the Obama White House – the terrorists have to share the blame with the French government and all of the governments of the West that have allowed themselves and their citizens to be unprotected in this phase of the war against terror. The French, if you recall, wouldn’t support the war in Iraq in 2003 which the radical elements of Islam understood to be cowardice and weakness. The French, under the current president, were the first to unass Afghanistan, where a war continues to be fought against radical Islam.
The West has largely tried to avoid calling terrorism terrorism. While I wouldn’t link the Obama Administration directly to the attack in Paris, I will say that he’s inviting an attack on US interests in this country or, more likely, OCONUS. The White House declares peace in wars that continue and they like to treat terrorism like a law enforcement issue, rather than take preemptive action. Releasing dozens of inmates at Guantanamo doesn’t project the image of strength either. They also think that radical Islam can be dealt with like rational actors. Negotiations with Iran to stop their nuclear program highlight this fallacy.
We should probably remember that the Obama/Clinton cabal ran interference for the jihadists when those jihadists murdered an ambassador and three veterans in Benghazi and the White House blamed the attack on a video in order to provide political cover for themselves in the next election.
The piecemeal approach to the drone program in Yemen and the application of force to the war against ISIS only reinforce their view of the West’s weakness. While I wouldn’t agree with Zinke that Obama is directly responsible for the Paris attack, I would lay the next action against the US at the Obama White House’s door step.

Good article, Jonn.
Awakening to the reality that attempting to negotiate something – anything – by Western cultures with these murdering thugs is seen as weakness is slowly beginning in Europe. They are simply using religion as an excuse to engage in wholesale slaughter.
The threat is peaking now. If a campaign to end this threat is to begin, it must begin now and not in a piecemeal fashion, and without a concerted fear of offending anyone’s religious sensibilities. It will take untl 2020 or a little after to bring it to a halt if it starts now.
While I only blame bodaprez for being what he is, a slacker, a lazy and useless pair of slacks with a golf club, he won’t change anything he says or does because he does not know how.
I think someone had to call out Obama for the lack of leadership in any case.
On another note…Europe has been feeding these radicals since it decided to allow so much emigration without assimilation IMHO in the name of being ‘multicultural. And now the number of people waking up in France and Germany is astounding. They were so quick to cast stones…but look nearly 1 million in France and More in Germany and Britian.
Those of us overseas in Europe 30 years ago remember a much more homogenous society there. Hell, the Italians who owned businesses there spoke German and Italian. Same for being in Switzerland, Britain, France…Everyone learned the native language- even me. Now, I couldn’t go to a street corner Imbiss for a kartofelpuffe because I would be greeted with kabobs instead. And they ignore you to speak to their own.
We should have cut them off at the knees, but we have a President who doesn’t know jack shit and an administration who has been hypnotized by the Pied Piper of Shitcago.
We have avoided several “mishaps”, but I fear it’s only going to worsen unless we shut our fucking borders and Europe shuts theirs. No more.
DUSA,
When I was in Germany (late 70s-early 80s), there was still a large group of unassimilated ones, the Turks. They were allowed in for the cheap unskilled labor. Looking back, I wonder if they were muzzies as well.
Muslims? Oh, yeah, the vast majority, if not all, are.
And many of them have assimilated into German culture, especially the ones who were born in Germany.
Remember, one of Obama’s stated reasons for closing Gitmo is because the terrorists don’t like Gitmo. If they don’t like it, I think that should be an excellent reason for us to like it more. But I don’t understand theses things. I never worked at Baskin Robbins and I don’t golf. I never even wrote 2 autobiographies.
Please #BringElaineRicciHome
“I never hired somebody to ghostwrite two conflicting autobiographies full of things that never actually happened to me so I could reinvent myself from the pampered rich kid that I am to po’ black chil’ from da ghetto that my campaign manager says is more viable.”
There, fixed it for ya.
You left out this part:
‘I never actually had a mind of my own. Everybody jes’ gave things to me because they thought I was cute and cuddly. I’ve always had things just handed to me. Everybody should have things just handed to them.’
IMHO the Democrats have projected weakness since at least Vietnam. The Communist Vietnamese fought the US with the mindset that no matter the casualties they would out last the US. We still destroyed the commies(NVA and VC) militarily. All South Vietnam needed was our continued support to win as was proven in 1972, but we denied it to them in 1975. The Democrats made that happen. Panama, Grenada, the First Desert Storm were all such overwhelming victories even the Democrats couldn’t throw them away. Mogadishu comes and the kill:death ratio(for lack of better terms) was extremely lopsided but we left in “defeat.” Iraq/Afghanistan is no different. Obama inherited a winnable Iraq, and him+other Democrats threw it away. They’re doing it now with Afghanistan.
Staying power is what ends these wars in victory IMO, and dumbass Democrats will never understand that. Large permanent bases, relaxed ROE, overwhelming firepower, and an American people that WANT our enemies dead could easily beat our enemies abroad. Unfortunately Democrats/Progressives/Communists/Socialists/etc in our midst don’t give 2 fucks about reason.
I have just one question, because the hill tribes in Afghanistan are pretty independent and there are parts where foreigners of any kind are simply not welcome.
Is any Western country (US, Euro, etc.)truly willing to engage in long-term guerrilla warfare against the jihadi, or not?
Maybe after the next 9/11.
We don’t need a long term war against jihadists, we need a long term war against islam fought with the same fervor used to defeat the germans and the japanese. Burning countries to the ground sends a different message than sending troops piecemeal into hostile territory as occupation LEOs instead of warfighting troops.
Our slogan needs to be, “If your nation harbors terrorists we will declare war on your nation and destroy everything you own or produce from food to infrastructure. When we are done you will be impoverished starving and 100s of thousands will be dead.”
Nations must either join the fight to end jihad or join the jihad. Pretending to be in the middle only protects the jihadists which means those nations are aiding and abetting those who wish to destroy our civilization and consequently those nations must be viewed as enemies.
Agreed. It’s like trying to reason or negotiate with cancer.
The Clintoon administration treated terrorism like a LE issue also – for eight years. September 11, 2001, occurred seven months and 22 days after the end of the Clintoon administration.
I don’t think that was due to coincidence. It take more than 8 months to undo 8 years of idiocy.
Criticism of the French for their multiculturalism is valid, but criticizing Obama over the Charlie Hebdo attack is just plain stupid.
There’s a lot of legitimate criticism to direct at the main without making shit up. This just invites ridicule.
It would surprise me if Zinke DOESN’T run for President, eventually. He’s one to watch.
Here’s another tidbit, with even CNN chiming in:
http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/white-house-criticized-for-absence-at-rally/ar-AA82UnJ
This absence seems to have produced a Twitter-powered backlash.
Just one faux pas after another by this (lack of) administration. If you want to piss off America’s allies, this is how you do it.
Does anyone wonder why I refer to this imbecile as bodaprez?
The funny thing about the media criticizing Obama for non-attendance is this whole “Je Suis Charlie’ horseshit the media is now spouting….
CNN actually slammed South Park for depicting mohammed in a bear suit, stating that although they criticized christians and jews they went over the line criticizing islam….several major news outlets have done the same thing.
Pretending otherwise now is bullshit to those of us who were paying attention. Obama not going makes sense to me, this is about Europe and their response to their acquiescence to islam over the last 30 years. Most of the cowards in Europe have been stating the Charlie Hebdo has been over the top, until now when people are dead.
The reaction of delusional, ignorant, fundamentalist islamists with violence to every notion their prophet is being criticized is a simple and open reminder of what that religion is, an unstable repressive program of ignorance that is threatened at every turn by any dissent or even education. It’s hard to keep using people as chattel when they are educated and begin to question the reality of magical beings that define societies in the fashion of the koran and their other mystical books of explanation.
Bullshit is bullshit, and islam is filled with more bullshit than most religions. Thus they must murder those with a divergent view of the world.
