Monday morning feel good story
This morning’s fare comes from Indiana;
Jeffrey Douglas, 35, called police around 11 p.m. to report a breaking and entering incident on his property in the 3200 block of Quail Drive.
Douglas told dispatchers that gunshots had been fired when he saw someone attempting to break into his garage.
Sheriff’s deputies found a man, identified by Sheriff John Wallace as Wesley Edwards, 26, on the ground with a gunshot wound to the leg when they responded to the Quail Drive residence.
Edwards was transported to a Louisville area hospital with non-life threatening injuries, Wallace said
I guess Mr. Edwards will have a hitch in his get-along to remind of the night he tried to turn his life around in someone else’s garage.

Well, if the burglar had to survive, I hope the hitch in his get-along is permanent. Maybe it will convince him to seek honest work, rather than stealing from others. Not likely, but it’s a thought.
