Wednesday morning feel good stories

| December 10, 2014

Chief Tango sends us our feel good stories again today, the first comes from California;

Butte County deputies responded to a call from a citizen reporting that there was a frantic woman at his door. The woman was covered with blood.

The woman told deputies there had been an intruder at her residence and she had shot the man.

The man who was shot was taken by ambulance from the scene and then flown by helicopter to a local hospital to be treated for his injuries.

The next story comes from North Carolina;

Hardin, who worked nearby, received a call from his wife several minutes earlier. She told Hardin that a suspicious vehicle was parked near their home, Sealey said.

Hardin left work, went home to check and found a vehicle parked on Dixie Road near his home.

“There was a boy in it who apparently was asleep,” Sealey said. “He (Hardin) tapped on the window and the boy took off at a high rate of speed.”

Hardin went on to his home, walked inside and was confronted in the hall by two men who were wearing masks, Sealey said.

“One of them pulled a gun and shot Hardin in the shoulder,” Sealey said.

Hardin, who had a gun, returned fire, killing one of the intruders, who fell into a bedroom, Sealey said.

The second intruder ran away, Sealey said.

The man who was killed has been identified as Randal Dwight Hardin Jr., 28, of Black Bridge Road in Parkton, Sealey said.

Randal Hardin is a distant relative of Sanford Hardin, Sealey said.

The last story is from Texas;

Police say 44-year-old Luke Garrison, a Brownsboro resident, was shot while breaking into a home in the 900 block of Charleston Drive, at the corner of Charleston and Trenton drives.

According to police, the 77-year-old homeowner was in a room when he heard a noise and retrieved his shotgun. He saw the suspect, who lunged at him, and he fired one round, striking Garrison in the left side of his chest. The suspect’s body was lying inside the front door when officers arrived.

Simply put: all’s well that ends well.

“The suspect’s body…..”. Not “he was treated at the hospital”.
How I love happy endings.

Splash. Out.

Two out of five low-life thugs are no more, plus one seriously injured. That’s like going 3 for 5 with 2 HRs and a double.

Not bad. Too bad about the last homeowner getting hit, though.
