Friday morning feel good story

| November 28, 2014

Another feel good story sent by Chief Tango, this one is from South Carolina;

A man who shot a suspected thief will not face charges because of the state’s so-called “Stand Your Ground,” law.

But deputies have charged the suspect, Thomas Smith, who they said was trying to steal scrap metal when the property owner confronted him and shot him.

Smith, who was shot in the arm, was transported to Greenville Memorial Hospital, where he has since been treated and released.

Under the state’s “Stand Your Ground,” law, there are several requirements for a shooting to be considered justified.

But the hospital released Mr Smith, so the police are trying to find him again.

I can’t say to all the circumstances of the shooting, but I’m wishing that things had turned out a little differently, and that the property owner had put Mr T Smith into the morgue instead of the hospital.

And if Mr Smith had any intelligence (but I forget myself. he IS a criminal, who are not necessarily known for their excess of smarts), he would vacate the state immediately, and find a less dangerous line of work.

“Smith, who was shot in the arm, was transported to Greenville Memorial Hospital, where he has since been treated and released.”

That’s why you always aim for Center Mass. Smith’s first stop was probably at a lawyers office to get his civil suite started against the home owner for “Wrongful inflection of bodily injury and emotional distress”.

Many criminals wear body armor.

Two to the chest, one to the head.
