Grand jury finds Wilson not culpable in Brown death

| November 25, 2014

So that happened overnight. The crowd in Ferguson wasn’t pleased, so they burned some cars and some buildings to punish people who had nothing to do with the incident, according to the Associated Press. Because that’s how we act these days – if the law doesn’t do what you think it should do, you should act out.

Smoke billowed from some businesses Tuesday morning and shattered glass covered the sidewalks in front of others, but the streets in Ferguson were mostly clear.

Monday night’s destruction appeared to be much worse than protests after August’s shootings, with more than a dozen businesses badly damaged or destroyed. Authorities reported hearing hundreds of gunshots, which for a time prevented fire crews from fighting the flames.

The Associated Press reported parts of the testimony of Darren Wilson to the grand jury;

Wilson said he asked a dispatcher to send additional officers, then backed his vehicle in front of Brown and his friend. As he tried to open the door, Wilson said, Brown slammed it back shut. Wilson said he pushed Brown with the door and Brown hit him in the face. Wilson told grand jurors he was thinking: “What do I do not to get beaten inside my car?”

Wilson said he drew his gun and threatened to shoot if Brown didn’t move back, fearing another punch to the face could “knock me out or worse.”

“He immediately grabs my gun and says, ‘You are too much of a pussy to shoot me,'” Wilson said, saying he thought he would be shot when Brown dug the gun into the officer’s hip.

Well, I guess Wilson was less of a pussy than Brown thought. Protesters gathered outside the White House, too, for some stupid reason.

Do I think that a fistful of cigars are worth the life of a man? Nope, absolutely not, but it looks like Brown made the decision to pay for those cigars with his life. Wilson decided that his own life wasn’t worth the cigars either.

Yup, play stupid human games attacking a cop, you are elligible for the ultimate prize of a burial in a six foor deep hole i nthe ground.
Whatever he had done prior doesn’t matter. The moment he attacked Officer Wilson, his demise was entirely in his own hands.

DirtDart

no, no RB- he was on his way to bible study. The cop pulled him into his door frame. Michael Brown had no choice but to preemptively to attack.

People make me sick.

Sorry the family feels that way- but Brown wrote a check his ass couldn’t cash.

and all the people that came in to help wreck other people stuff- you suck too.

Sapper3307

Calling all tax payers. Operation Death Blossom starting ASAP.

Ex-PH2

Someone please explain to me why, when most of the protests were peaceful, there just had to be a bunch of thugs who took out their wrath on Ferguson by setting cars on fire and looting businesses, burning them to the ground, and putting people out of jobs?

Some snippy guy on a local TV station said it was democracy at work.

Well, no. Democracy isn’t looting and destroying property, businesses and jobs.

It’s anarchy and nothing else.

So what was the justification for it? There was none.

And I would REALLY like it if the media stopped referring to Brown as a ‘child’. He was NOT a child, he was an adult. He was Mrs. Brown’s son, but he was not a child and using that term implies something that does not exist. He knew exactly what he was doing, which is why he roughed up the storekeeper when he stole those cigarillos and it was caught on video, widely seen. He also knew what he was doing when he got confrontational with a cop.

If Wilson had been a black cop instead of white, would this have gone the way it did?

I doubt it seriously.

UpNorth

I’m tired of the media and their “the grand jury failed to indict”. No, the grand jury did their job. The LSM makes it sound like the evidence was there & the grand jury ignored it. Fail!!!! There was no evidence to support an indictment.

The Other Whitey

Don’t tell me you actually expected responsible journalism.

UpNorth

I know, lost my mind for a brief moment there. 🙂

Pinto Nag

The media didn’t want to give the impression of supporting the grand jury findings because they don’t want their studios looted and burned down, UpNorth. That communication equipment is damned expensive.

UpNorth

Might as well burn it down, it doesn’t sound like there’ll be much of anything commercial left in Fergadishu when the asshats are done.

Ex-344MP

I have one word to describe the rioters: Animals.

You know, it’s always a good thing to destroy your own town because you don’t agree with a grand jury decision. You’ll get the whole country’s attention, and apparently bodaprez.

Old Trooper

The thing is; it’s not their town. Most of those causing the problems aren’t from Ferguson. Most came from elsewhere. Then you get the Justus Bros. (Sharpton and Jackson) coming in and fanning the flames, because it’s not their community, they don’t have to live there.

I’m not going to be as feeble minded as the pro athletes they have interviewed and say that the Grand Jury got it wrong, nor am I going to say they got it right. The problem is the lack of education on the part of many people, who never paid attention in civics class. A Grand Jury looks at all the evidence and makes a decision, to take it to trial, or not, based on that evidence. Pro athletes, leftists, and pro race baiters make their decision based on everything but evidence (lots of heresay sprinkled in with a lot of race baiting) and then we get to hear about it non-stop for a couple more weeks.

Eric

And in a couple weeks, ferguson will still be smoldering and all the instigators will be home in their own neighborhoods (and/or mansions) relaxing waiting for the next issue they can instigate.

Old Trooper

Exactly.

I just read that one of the Justus Bros., Al Sharpton, is heading to Ferguson, today, to hold a press conference before returning to the safe confines of his office in NYC.

IOW He’s gonna act like a bird; fly in, shit all over the place and then fly out.

Whitey_Wingnut

22 stores looted or destroyed by fire, 12 cars and all to show Brown was innocent. I don’t know how stealing a big screen T.V. and destroying private property is proving innocence, but it’s what the left thrive on.

Ex-344MP

They did take a break after burning down the beauty store and instead went next door to get some food at McDonalds, of course they didn’t stay long as other people decided to destroy it.

JoshO

At first a few people were trying to temper the crowds reaction but they must have eventually been shouted down or driven away, those fucks made their mind to do this a long time ago. It almost seems like they targeted the people who had been hit before and had talk to the news and called for peace. It was heartbreaking seeing those people have to clean up before, I can’t imagine what they are going through now.

There should have been bodies in the street. Period. People want to act like terrorists, they need to be treated like them.

I don’t know who was protesting what. I don’t believe that most of the protestors knew. The original violence was prompted by wild rumor that a white police officer executed an unarmed black teenager. Then came the Parade of Stars, from Holder to Sharpton, not to mention the Instigator in Chief, the Golfer in Mom Jeans. Remember his little talk at the UN regarding terrorists and terrorism in which he found a way to include Ferguson? But something funny happened on the way to the crucifixion of the police officer: fact and truth replaced rumor and innuendo. The “unarmed black teenager” was 17, 6’4″, 300 lbs, a thug, a thief, and spoiling for a physical confrontation after being told to get out of the street. Brown aggressed on the police officer and hit him while he was in the very bad position of still being in his police vehicle. The police officer was suddenly in a fight, a fight for his life. It is so freakin’ easy to say that the officer should have done this or should have done that instead of killing his attacker. Those who say such things really do not have a clue what a no-holds-barred, all-out, hand-to-hand fight is about. The good guy won. The bad guy lost. It really is black and white.

Wesley Wilson AKA Enigma4you

What he said,

MustangCryppie

I was a beat cop, though I realize that in this company I don’t have any special knowledge about this event because of my previous job. Having said that, if I had been in Wilson’s position, the second Brown slammed my car door on me would have been the second I would have opened up the can of whupass. He was going to jail or the hospital. Not a doubt in my mind.

UpNorth

The cop has to win every fight he/she is in, the bad guy only has to win one time.
One of the asshats who was interviewed today whined that the officer had a taser, why didn’t he use that, why didn’t he talk Brown down, why did the cop have to escalate the incident? One just cannot fix stupid.

Poetrooper

And as if the situation in Ferguson isn’t bad enough, some idiot black state senator in Missouri is calling it a race war for St. Louis. I believe there are a lot of far left radicals, both black and white, who would love to see a race war ignite in this country.

In 65-66 in Vietnam, the radicalized black soldiers all carried a copy of a paperback novel, can’t recall the title or author, that depicted an all out race war in which blacks took over the major cities by force and seized control of the military and the federal government.

A black E-5 friend told me it was a very bloody and violent account in which whites were massacred wholesale. he also said that book was a “Bible” to the hotheaded younger blacks. Knowing what they were reading, it was a very disquieting experience to be out on operations and watch those heavily armed soldiers pulling out their “Bibles” every time we took a ten minute break.

When you start looking for something without specifics, you can come across interesting stuff. See what I mean at this link:

http://www.wnd.com/2014/05/libs-beware-racial-violence-not-what-you-think/

Colin Flaherty’s book takes the media to task for letting this kind of violence go underreported, and presents only facts, not fiction.

Eric

From the look of things, I’m going to throw my hypothesis out there.

Even if they had indicted him, there would still be riots. The excuse would be, “see what happens to a black man in this country? He gets shot by cops, lets riot!” There is no doubt in my mind on that. Especially with all the “outsiders” there and those stupid gay-boys in guy fawkes masks. (Who I doubt truly know anything about him, they just saw the movie Vendetta.)

I think the prosecutor wasn’t harsh enough on the media, he was too much so the eloquent spokesman. He should’ve flat out said, “you dumb motherfuckers in the media caused this by putting out false information and making judgements before the full story was even heard!”

At the same time, it does absolutely nothing to keep repeating this as a “white cop killed a black child.” He was 18 years old, he was an adult and he was a big MFer. over 6 feet and 300 pounds? Any cop in the same situation would’ve probably done the same thing (or they would’ve gotten the shit kicked out of them).

This had nothing to do with him being black or the cop being white. He was a suspect who didn’t want to be bothered with “rule of law” as Barry calls it.

JoshO

I feel bad for the parents but I thought the prosecutor laid it out pretty well. They also need to go after the people spreading misinformation on the internet and the ones who tried to give false testimonies. Run at least one or two up for perjury as an example. God Damn all of these piece of shit thugs, dumbfuck college kids, lowlife irresponsible yellow-journalists, that are trying to ruin my home.

I wonder if Ferguson, MO will ever be the same again after all the race-pimping, political whoring, and agitation? One thing is for sure, and it’s that there will be fewer businesses there from here on!

Veritas Omnia Vincit

It’s best if it isn’t the same afterwards. Pretending all was well and good prior to the riots is what led us to this point in time in the first place.

A Proud Infidel®™

Yep, and like someone else said: “Good news is that many working people in Ferguson, MO will have thanksgiving day off, bad news is that they’ll be off permanently because some punkasses burnt the businesses to the ground” Next they’ll be bawling for “Help” and money, neither of which I think they deserve. Like a Mentor once told me, “You can’t help a fool.”, and these people have decided to be fools.

2/17 Air Cav

Here’s a story in the good news category that you would never read nowadays. After the Baltimore riots in 1968, in which local, community stores were looted and torched, some were razed and others left as is. Decades later, the lots where the razed buildings stood were still vacant and those that weren’t remained in the condition they were left. The attitude was: This is what you did. It’s yours now.

Stacy0311

IF I were a business owner in Ferguson, I’d slap on a bandana and go torch my competitors!
If you’re going to riot, have a purpose.
Reports say that the Family Dollar was looted. That’s just a complete lack of class and intelligence by the rioters!

CMM451

What really blows my mind about the reaction from the black community, is that is that the black community more than any other should know the fallibility of eyewitness statements contradicting physical evidence. Look at how many black men convicted by eyewitness testimony of rape and murder, have been exonerated by DNA evidence in the last 15 years or so (MS Innocence Project for example). If anybody is familiar with racily biased eyewitness testimony in the face of physical evidence it should be black people, yet here we are.

Because these animals decided to loot and burn for no reason, people will not be having much of a Christmas. How many businesses were destroyed or looted beyond the ability to recover? How many people will be laid off because of the damage to the businesses? How many people will find that their Christmas Dinner will be sparse because they no longer have a good paycheck?

Animals are animals. Anyone who believes this is what should happen to protest a lawful decision should be taken out in the street and beaten with a law book.

I read that prior intel led the authorities to confiscate several, previously prepared pipe bombs, some from the New Black Panthers. Intended to be used on…the black protestors, to instill more violence, death, hate and racial unrest. The Prosecutor was calm, sensitive, thorough and eloquent. Some of the questions he received were out and out race baiting but he handling them well. The Brown family along with the Congressional Black Caucus, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and more others than I can remember, issued their statements of disappointment that “da man”, once again did not do justice for little Michael Brown, the “gentle giant of a kid”. I watched as looters laughed and grinned as they ran from stores carrying more stolen loot than they could manage with their pants half way down their asses. Not a one of them could have told you much about Michael Brown except “he’s black, he was murdered by a white policeman, it was racist”. None could have told anyone what a Grand Jury means, how it works or what their findings meant. In fact, for many of them, their only experiences with courts are with public defenders in front of Judges being sentenced for their own previous crimes and “youthful escapades”, just like little Michael Brown. Michael Brown, who’s mother was arrested for assaulting Michael’s grandmother, stealing some of her clothes and money, showed a wonderful example of criminal life to her son. The son she is so disappointed for, that the “officer who killed our son will face no consequences”. I am sorry the Brown family will live without their son. I am not sorry, given the evidence presented by the Prosecutor that, the Officer is alive and Brown is dead. He brought that upon himself and no one except him. Officer Wilson’s life is ruined. He’ll never work in law enforcement again and I doubt that Ferguson, the County, the State or the Federal Government will offer him a shot at some education and training benefits to prepare for a different life’s work. He is however, alive. Alive because he did his… Read more »

As for Ferguson, yes they need some serious look see at how they react and respond to the population they serve. By all indications of past examples they could do more. I’m not trying to sound touchy-feely here. I’m admitting that IF Ferguson has a problem in their police force dealing with the black or any community, it needs to addressed, identified and resolved. Absolutely. Ferguson and other cities have problems that need to be identified from both ends of the candle. Obama talked about the “rule of law” in his statement but only as it applied to the legal system and law enforcement. He did not mention the rule of law applying to citizens that rob, loot and burn. That is one side of the candle that must be addressed. The other side is the fact that 44% of revenues of the City of Ferguson is derived from fees and tickets issued by the police department. Fines pile on top of tickets when people cannot pay the original ticket. You start to get into a situation where people are forced to where they have to decide whether to do something like drive without insurance or not work. People decide to drive, get caught without insurance, have to pay a fine they cannot afford so to make the money to pay the fine, they go and do the same offense, get caught, stuck more in debt and the cycle never ends. Towns like Ferguson have more incentives to take money from citizens rather than to serve citizens to make the town better. On the other hand, what business wants to move into a town where people steal, gunshots ring out nightly, and their businesses are burned to the ground. What person wants to put money into that type of town? One of the things that I have always thought was not addressed enough was Brown’s theft of the cigars. I am not talking about the theft itself, but what the theft symbolizes. Brown was about to enter into a trade school the Monday following the day he was shot. He… Read more »

Two things that happened snagged like a mental thorn, because I don’t believe in coincidence. The first was announcing the grand jury decision at night, and the other is that the NG was nowhere in evidence, despite the imminent threat of violent riots to follow. You would think somebody was paying more attention than that, wouldn’t you?

gitarcarver

Pinto Nog,

The NG was detailed to protect the public buildings, freeing the police to deal with the protestors.

The decision to deploy resources that way has been criticized, but that is why you didn’t see the NG out in the streets, but saw the police there.

Tonight should be different in the deployment of resources in Ferguson. The scary thing is that the protests are gaining strength in other cities.

Someone is going to get hurt or killed in this.

For anyone who wasn’t around in the 1960s, when Martin Luther King encouraged people to engage in peaceful protest to secure their civil rights, I do remember the way the police behaved all through the south toward those who went from Selma, AL to Washington, DC. I do remember the things that led up to it, and that the protestors never turned violent, despite what segregationists tried to do. This was before Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton started running their idiotic mouths, before April 1968. A lot was accomplished peacefully. But with Bobby Seals and the Chicago 7, the Black Panthers, and the Jackson/Sharpton pair, there was more disruption and violence and idiotic crap that happened repeatedly with no point to it, other than to give Sharpton and Jackson a chance to run off at the mouth in the media. I do remember the riots in Washington, because I saw the smoke from them and it took me two fucking hours to get home. And then there was no phone service because the lines were jammed. And the Watts riots and the Democrap National convention weren’t just get togethers around a campfire. That hasn’t stopped. I think those two promote violence, especially where it is not wanted. They urge it into existence. They watch it grow from peaceful protests to sheer destruction and they want it that way. In all the cities where those protests took place – NYC, Chicago, Seattle, wherever – only Ferguson’s was actually destructive. Why? And who showed up to be in the limelight? Sharpton and Jackson, like they had some hand in it and wanted to survey the damage, then get on TV again and run their mouths. They both want the 1960s back, so that they can be the big MFICs. They are the ONLY ones who want that. Even Brown’s family said ‘we don’t want violence’. Anyone who can’t make the connection between this destruction and the Sharpton/Jackson pair is blind.
