It Is Hunting Season Here in WV… Or Something?

| October 8, 2014

I don’t actively hunt anymore myself, got a pal who does hunt our 75 acres and gives us more venison than we can eat for the privilege…

That aside, there is another way I can tell when the season begins.

So… Hunters wear ORANGE for safety, are they also safer when they DRINK orange?

Dunno?

Thought AR was the only state they did that. Glad the rest of you cats feel my pain. It affects the taste in an awful way.

Well at least it isn’t Burnt Orange (Hook’em Horns!)
After working at the Pine Bluff Arsenal for over 8 years, I left there with the impression that the Hogs weren’t too fond of us Longhorns 😉

Ha! Yeah, b/c TX used to own everybody in the old SWC! But this year UAPB could give them a close game? 🙂

You’re right on both accounts. I keep telling myself it’s a rebuilding year…
Getting hard to talk smack with the we’ve been playing.

Probably a mental thing on my part. Just don’t like messing with a good thing.

They’re not, it’s Busch. Kinda of a holiday thing – orange can, green beer.

Expand your horizons, try anything from Stone Brewing. Their Arrogant Bastard is my go to. Their Double Bastard and Old Guardian are liquid ambrosia!

I’ve always enjoyed “Arrogant Bastard”, when I first saw it on the shelf, I thought “SONOFABEETCH, they named a beer after me!!”.

Staying on the orange theme, Sam Adams has the seasonal “Octoberfest” orange label brew in stores. Has a smooth caramely taste…ain’t too bad at all.

Dang Z, I wish I lived anywhere near you. I’d gladly keep you in venison for the year for that kind of a privilege, and I dang sure wouldn’t litter your land up with empties, especially not Busch. 🙂
