5 UN peacekeepers killed in Mali
AFP reports that 5 UN Chadian Peacekeepers were killed in Mali Thursday by a roadside bomb;
UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon said Friday he was “outraged” by an attack that killed five Chadian peacekeepers in Mali and called for an immediate halt to such incidents.
The five soldiers died and three others were injured Thursday when their truck was hit by an explosive device, Ban’s spokesman said in a statement.
“The Secretary General is outraged by the attack,” the spokesman said.
“These continued assaults against the United Nations must cease immediately.”
Yeah, so I’m sure they’ll stop now. This comes just a week after Fijian peacekeepers were released by al Qaeda jihadists in Syria. I guess it’s getting pretty hazardous to be a peacekeeper.

Well I guess this answers my thoughts about a UN led, WHO effort to aid the Ebola outbreak in Africa and a UN led peacekeeping force to protect them. It’ll be, “Yea you Americans go ahead and send combat trained soldiers in to help in a viral outbreak, for whatever good they will do except to hand out MREs and candy bars and protect yourselves while your at it. If anything happens, we’ll be outraged of course”.
Additionally, I now understand the UN. They are led by people identical to Obama.

United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali is what the UN calls its force there. Its commander is Rwandan Major General Jean Bosco Kazura. He is an exceptionally experienced fellow— when it comes to soccer. In fact, he was elected head of the Federation of Rwandan Football Associations back in 2006. Things went south for him in 2010 after he was named commander of the Rwandan Army operations and training. It seems he failed to get a permission slip to attend the World Cup that year and was arrested. But he said he was sorry and was released after a month or so. The next year, he resigned from the Rwandan soccer federation. But he made a friend at the UN because he was named Force Commander in Mali by Secretary General Moonbeam not long thereafter.
There have been over 20 combat fatalities to the UN force in Mali this year for a force of 8,200; compared to approximately 60 coalition fatalities in Afghanistan with a force of 42k.
It makes me question why DOD and AFRICOM have not gotten off their ass and authorized hf/Idp for US personnel serving in Mali (some with the UN mission).
Yeah, the UN is outaraged.
So while they are all here in in NYC this week at the UNGA 69, between shop lifting, DUI, fighting and complaining about how their food was prepared in the nation’s best eateries, causing ALL trafic and transit to come to a virtual halt … they can vote on growing some testicles.

UN Resolution – KMRIA 69. The Irish shall be the sole UN QRF, the Irish shall be provided appropriate whiskey rations, ammo and equipment. Irish QRF is authorized to disreguard any stupid order not to respond and or stand down. The Irish will on their own get the job done!
