A “Red Letter Day” for American foreign policy

| July 20, 2014

Are you sitting down? According to Reuters, US Secretary of State John Kerry said that Israel has a national right to defend themselves from Hamas’ rocket attacks from Gaza;

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said on Sunday.”You have a right to go in and take out those tunnels,” Kerry told Fox News. “We completely support that. And we support Israel’s right to defend itself against rockets that are continuing to come in.”

Yep, aren’t you glad you were sitting down? Not only that, Kerry urged Hamas to accept a ceasefire with Israel;

Kerry called on Hamas to consider a ceasefire. “It is important for Hamas to now step up and be reasonable and understand that (if) you accept the ceasefire, you save lives,” he said.In a separate interview on CNN, Kerry said President Barack Obama will ask him to go to the Middle East soon to aid in efforts to secure a ceasefire.

I know, it’s hard to believe, isn’t it? Usually, they like to bully Israel into accepting whatever terms that Hamas dictates to them. I guess they figured that since world wide popular opinion is siding with Israel this time, and they have their hands full with crises like the border and Russia, they could afford to punt one.

Now let’s see if there will be any support other than words if needed.

I wish Drunkle Joe had been the one to announce this policy shift. He probably refused to do it so Kerry got stuck with it.

Hondo

Remember the stopped-clock principle: “Even a stopped clock is right twice a day.”

OWB

Same thing occurred here. With the multitude of wrong decisions they make, they are bound to accidently make a correct one occasionally. It’s just a mathematical thing.

On the other hand, with this crowd, it cannot be that simple. They will eventually turn it into something which suits only their agenda.

I heard this a.m. that the reason that Barrycade the Preezy is still fundraising, and is on his way to Hollyweird today for more fundraising, is that he’s trying to make sure that we don’t get upset by the shoot-down of MH17 and the continuation of the war on the Jews.
Isn’t that great, the pResident is so concerned that we might notice that the world isn’t all lollipops, unicorns and Skittles, that he will force himself to go fundraising with his Hollyweird tongue bathers?

ArmyATC

Ha!!! Does anyone think this administration really believes what Kerry said? More likely it’s a face saving measure after the Israelis told Obama to go fuck himself with his unicorn horn.

brat

That was my reaction, too..

Climb to Glory

“be reasonable and understand that (if) you accept the ceasefire, you save lives,”

These are people that strap explosives to donkeys in an attempt to kill IDF soldiers. I don’t think these are reasonable people, nor do they care about saving lives. Kerry is a dipshit.

The Other Whitey

My thoughts exactly. People who are interested in saving lives don’t use their own children as human shields.

nbcguy54

Once again the US leads the way in foreign policy (as long as someone else is driving the bus).

OldSoldier54

Awright! Who slipped a mickey into SecState’s coffee??!!

AW1Ed

John Kerry- did you know he was in Viet Nam?

Well, briefly, anyway.

OldSargeUSAR

AW1:

And didn’t Douche Kerry throw his medals over the WH fence in protest of Vietnam?
Oh, wait… those were some other guy’s medals.

If you can look past your immediate reactions, a few things are happening here. 1 – Putin has lost control of his pro-Russian Ukrainian buddies. He may have donated the equipment that was used to down the passenger jet, but didn’t expect them to use it that way. He screwed the pooch on that one. 2 – HowbadismyKarma has not only become the poster child for the Peter principle at work, it’s also become impossible for him to make a decision that will ‘please’ people and make them like him. He wants everyone to like him. Remember the tantrum he threw on TV over being blamed for the illegal alien mess? No one believes anything he says, so he speaks through a mouthpiece (sKerry) who will get blamed by one group or another for something – anything. Last week, US staff were removed from Libya because of what is going on there; he doesn’t want another Benghazi incident. Remember when the dink in a suit would not even meeet with Netanyahu? Oh, hell, he changes his mind with the weather report, doesn’t he? That little ‘more flexibility’ speech to Putin? Putin looks at him as what he is – a dink in a suit – and parks a warship in Havana harbor, cozies up to the Castros, and has Bears flying off the CA coast, and this dink in s suit does/says nothing, and NEVER will. Things are happening too fast for a clueless dink in a suit to figure out what to do, so he dumps it off on a mouthpiece and tells him to say ‘the right thing’ and goes to fundraisers. That way, if things go wrong, it’s sKerry’s (or whoever) fault, not his. It will be like this until someone says ‘Enough, already! Shit or get off the pot.’ So let him fumble around, make an ass of himself in public, do and say all the wrong things, and in general piss people off. The more stupid things he does, the more votes he loses, and the more he makes Nixon look less corrupt and Carter… Read more »

Oh, crap, clicked too soon.

That should say “You may not agree with my analysis, but you know that right now, that clown in a suit….”

Delilah T.

Here’s a Reuters article relaying what sKerry is saying about the Malaysia Airlines jet and who did what and who is responsible.

Do not expect howbadismyKarma to do or say anything, himself.

B Woodman

For whatever reason, right or wrong, that’s one in a row.

I posted this in the ‘Incompetence’ thread, but it also belongs here.

You hear the official words on camera, but when they think the camera/mic is no longer watching/listening, they can’t shut up, can they?
