Friday morning feel good story

| May 30, 2014

Chief Tango sends us some feel good stories for this morning. The first is from Georgia;

The homeowner told Channel 2 Action News that he was interviewed by detectives for hours before being released. Two men banged on his door late Tuesday and forced their way into his home, with the first man screaming at him, the homeowner said.

After he shot the first man, the homeowner watched the second man run away and get into a waiting car, Channel 2 reported.

Tonight, police identified the deceased man as Michael Verucci, 30, of Marietta, Bowman said. Police do not expect to file charges in the case.

The next story is from Kentucky;

Officials say Jack Traughber came across two trespassers stealing from his property Wednesday afternoon. When Traughber saw that the pair of trespassers were armed, he shot one of the them. The suspect was taken to the hospital where his condition is currently unknown.

Police say this isn’t the first time something like this has happened. Simpson sheriff’s officers have responded to numerous burglaries at Traughber’s barn. Officials say they have even made a couple of arrests there in the past.

If that is an actual shot of a windshield, that is not a bad rapid-fire group for someone under stress. I believe it can safely be described as “minute of asshole”

Is it just me or does that look like a shotgun “wound” to the windshield? If it was a handgun…darn good shootin’ there!
