Obama Admnistration sees al Qaeda in Iraq…finally

| February 5, 2014

Yes, it’s true, the Obama Administration can finally see clearly that al Qaeda has a hand in the violence in Iraq, reports the Washington Times;

“All of these suicide bombers, we believe, are foreign fighters recruited through extreme propaganda on the promise of paradise for killing other Muslims,” said [Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Bret McGurk].

The attacks “demonstrate a sophisticated global network that is able to recruit, train and deploy human beings to commit suicide and mass murder,” he said.

Mr. McGurk added the bombers are the “most precious resource” of the Islamic State of Iraq (ISIS) and the Levant, arguably the region’s most vicious al Qaeda-style extremist group, whose aim is “to carve out an Islamic caliphate stretching from Baghdad to Lebanon.”

Of course, this is nothing that rest of the world, particularly readers of this blog, haven’t already noticed. The article goes on to mention that suicide bombings have risen sharply from about 7/month in 2012 to 35/month in 2013. So they must have quite a recruitment program, and that’s not my idea of an organization that has been “decimated” as we were told before the 2012 presidential election.

In other Obama Administration foreign policy/terror war news, it seems that they’ve pretty much suspended the “drones over Pakistan” program, according to the Washington Post, to give Pakistan’s Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif an opportunity to have “peace talks” with the Taliban there. Peace talks mean different things to different people, though.

For example, in Syria, on Sunday, an envoy from the ISIS to peace talks between rebels in Syria blowed up real good taking 16 people with him and sending another 20 to the hospital.

Wow, they’re just catching onto this. Kudos to Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Bret McGurk and his boss! Well done. Man, you can’t get anything by these guys, can you?!

“on the promise of paradise for killing”

That my friends is pretty much all you need to know about islam as practiced in the middle east…

Nice to see the Benghazi boys (remember the video no one saw or ever heard of?) can finally figure out where the suicide bombers are coming from…I was sure there was some American responsible for the deaths because of something they wrote on a blog that was offensive to islam, because pretty much anything written that says islam might be bad for the world because all they do is kill each other and oppress their populations is a great reason to strap on a bomb and blow up some women and kids in the market…if that’s the most precious resource of any movement those involved in the movement have forfeited the right to exist themselves and we should hurry the entire lot of them off to discuss this personally with their magic little allah in the sky….

So let me get this straight. We finally acknowledge an Al-Qaida group other than the “core” group in Pakistan–just as the “core” Al Qaida group disowns them?

Personally, I think you’ve got to be really, really bad for Al Qaida to disown you for being too violent . . .

They haven’t waked up and smelled the coffee yet, have they?

@3 Don H, they must be the Al-Qaeda equivalent of our Hell’s Angels 1% faction. Just too bad for us regular Hell’s Angels.

You particular Al-Qaeda guys are just too, too violent and inhuman for our personal tastes.

Now THAT…is saying a LOT!!!

Don’t worry, King Barakakan I has assured us that this is just the JV team.
