Wednesday Feel Good Stories
Several of you sent us this link yesterday to the Daily Caller about a young woman in Michigan, her husband was deployed to Afghanistan, who prevented “an ordinance thief” from forcing his way into her home with a shotgun and a machete;
“I kept hearing, ‘tap, tap, tap,’” she recalled during an interview with WOOD-TV.
The woman ran to get her gun. When she returned to the front of the house, she pointed it right at him. This caused the would-be intruder to retreat. He attempted to enter through the back of the house, but the gun once again deterred him.
When police arrived, they chased the suspect briefly until he threw down his weapon. The suspect claims to be “an ordinance thief,” though police aren’t sure what he meant by that.
Once unmasked, the suspect was revealed to be a 15-year-old male. Police are baffled by the teenager’s actions, and said his motivations are totally unclear.
Chief Tango sends us another story from Michigan where two men in masks ordered a man to give them money.
According to police, two men forced their way into a home and demanded money.
While inside a bedroom, the victim grabbed a gun, firing one round at the suspects.
Both men proceeded to then run out of the home.
The victim fired one more shot, hitting one of the suspects. The suspect was then taken to McLaren Hospital in Pontiac where he was eventually arrested.
The second suspect remains on the run this morning.

Let me see if I can help. He is a thug. He has obviously a seasoned thug, just the first time caught for home invasion. Money says he has a rap sheet. Motive, he is a criminal who wants YOUR stuff instead of getting a job or waiting for that first of the month welfare check.
Police are baffled…that’s rich!
Kid’s lucky he isn’t laid out on a slab at the morgue.
According to Wood TV, the kid in the first story was trying to commit suicide by cop. At least, that’s what mom said in a later interview. He’s autistic, according to mom and was distraught over a break-up with a girl friend. So, he took the shotgun that he got for Christmas and decided to scare the bejesus out of his neighbor. At least, that’s what his mom says. http://woodtv.com/2014/02/04/mom-teen-with-shotgun-wanted-to-die/
@3 — If he’d tried that shit at my house, I would’ve granted him his wish.
I’m 63, and very cranky.
No doubt, Major. But, what kind of a parent buys a shotgun as a Christmas present for an autistic 15yr old, then doesn’t secure the gun? Or any machete that happens to be laying around?
#3 & 5, UpNorth,
My thoughts exactly. An autistic child with a shotgun?
W-T-F??!! (over)
