Saturday morning feel good stories
Chief Tango sends us our feel good stories to kick off our weekend on a joyous note. The first is from Greenville, South Carolina where a youngster tried turn his life around by robbing a restaurant;
Deputies said a man with a gun [22-year-old Calvin Benson] came into Wings On The Run along East North Street in Greenville Thursday night and tried to rob the place.
That’s when an employee at the restaurant pulled out his own gun and shot the suspect twice, according to deputies. They said the guy then ran away.
Deputies tried to search for the suspect but did not find him. They said about an hour later, they received a call from the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office after the gunshot victim showed up at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center with two wounds.
The next story comes from Roanoke, Virginia where an owner of a convenience store turned a criminals’ life around for him;
Munawar Hussain, who co-owns Paradise Deli Mart and was working as clerk at the time, said Thursday that he shot the suspect in the back as the man was leaving the store. The man had already dropped his gun several feet away, Hussain said.
The incident likely will be reviewed by the Roanoke commonwealth’s attorney’s office, which is standard in such cases.
Hussain said he had no qualms about firing at the person he thought was a robber.
He said the man came in, placed what appeared to be a handgun and shopping bag on the counter, and demanded cash.
After he gave the man money, the suspect demanded a box of cigarettes. He took a box of condoms, too, Hussain said.
Well, like it was proven in the previous story, it helps the police find the criminal if you tag them with a bullet.

Those condoms will come in handy as he is getting plowed in the county lockup.
I’m not a fan of shooting someone in the back,unless they are attempting to go after someone else. Otherwise; good stories!
Does Wings On the Run do deliveries?
Well I guess he was going to smoke after sex. I don’t know if do…I never looked. 😀
Sounds like the wing order should have been a ” take out” order.
No doubt, in the back of his mind, he knew to grab the condoms because he was going to be fuctcked later!
Good shootin’ to the restaurant employee, two shots, two hits. But I have to wonder what caliber he was using that the perp was able to run away and get to a hospital- alive.
Money, cigarettes and condoms. Anyone else think there was some planned celebrating over the Superbowl being planned?
@2OT – when someone has menaced you with a firearm, it is not always convenient to rotate the target to a more desirable angle,I’m told. I know the one time I was mugged, if I had been in possession of a firearm, I would have stuck one in the back of his neck as he was leaving for scaring the crap out of me.
