Saturday Morning Feel Good Stories
Stephen sends us a link to our first feel good story this morning, this time from Allentown, Pennsylvania where a fellow encountered some rambunctious youths;
The east Allentown man who shot a robber to death Wednesday night was first pistol-whipped by three robbers acting together, a neighbor said Thursday.
And when the resident of 655 Westminster St. pulled a gun in self-defense, one of the robbers fired at the resident, a man in his 50s, said the neighbor, recounting what the resident told him.
“I heard the pop, pop, pop, pop, pop,” neighbor Thomas Hoffman said. “They were shooting at each other.
“I went outside and I didn’t see anyone else but my neighbor. His left eye was all puffed up. He said, ‘Call the cops. I just shot somebody.’ “

UpNorth and Chip send us links to a story in Alabama, when a customer with a CCW permit stopped a fellow trying to rob a Dollar General Store which had a sign outside forbidding “open carry” in the store. I guess Mr. Thief didn’t know that concealed carry isn’t open carry;
Dallas County Sheriff Harris Huffman Jr. says the gunman walked into the store waving a gun in the air and forced a cashier and customer at gunpoint towards a break room area. At that point, the customer pulled out a concealed weapon and shot the suspect in the chest once.
“He escorted a customer and a cashier toward a break room. The cashier went in first and the customer went in behind her and the individual had the gun on the customer and the customer had a pistol concealed in a holster and when the customer got to the door, he turned around and shot the individual,” Huffman told WSFA.
The gunman was pronounced dead at the scene. The entire incident played out in less than five minutes, police said.
Other customers and delivery men were inside the store at the time of the incident. Several customers making their way into the store saw the man waving a gun and ran away.

There was another sign on the doors of the business stating that open carry of a weapon was not allowed inside the store. According to the sheriff, the customer’s gun was concealed and inside a holster. His investigators are confirming whether or not the customer has a valid concealed carry permit.

I love these stories in the morning. Makes my Cuban Coffee just that much more sweet.
A little sunshine on a cloudy day. Nice.
Nice shootin’ boys.
Story #2 – And once again we see how well a “No Guns Allowed” sign works for barely literate bad guys and sheeple.
Police response to story 2 is disgusting. What assholes.
They should have given a high five and made him an honorary deputy.
