US less safe since 2011

| December 9, 2013

Talk about your “dog bites man” story; congressional guests on CNN‘s “State of the Union” program told the two or three viewers that the threat of terrorism is spreading like a wildfire in the last few years and the reason, of course, are this Administration’s policies;

Rep. Mike Rogers, R-Michigan, and Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-California, agreed that the Obama administration has lost ground in the ongoing battle with global terrorism.

McCaul said that though policies put in place as a result of the September 11 terrorist attacks have prevented a similar large-scale event on U.S. soil, President Barack Obama is pushing a false narrative about the nation’s safety in the world.

“When the President of the United States talks about the, downgrades the threat, his narrative is that al Qaeda is on the run, and since bin Laden has been killed the threat is no longer existing – I think is a false narrative and premise because, as we see this threat all throughout northern Africa, as we saw Egypt fall, Libya, now Syria is a great culmination of the Sunni-Shia conflict.”

Well, it stands to reason, because there was virtually no threat of a terrorist attack in the mid-70s but by the time Jimmy Carter was voted out of office, he couldn’t step out of his armored limo. This administration has been able to extend the Carter Administration’s failed policies into the 21st century, all the while dismantling the military, again like Carter, and making military service less attractive to new recruits.

Because if bodaprez says it’s so, then it must be so, right? So we don’t need to defend ourselves from anything. We can just mosey along, singing a song, etc.

Wasn’t that the attitude before Pearl Harbor?

This president is doing far more harm to the state of our nation’s security than Al-Qaeda. Lowering our guard is what any thinking terrorist is looking for. Obama will get us attacked again if he keeps this up. As a side note, Pres is racing off to pay bon voyage to Mandela, while he snubbed the last respects for Thatcher. Thatcher was a strong, staunch ally. Mandela’s regime was a “give me money” drain. Thatcher ran a well ordered democracy based on freedom. Mandela put people to death who disagreed with him. Sorry but I am just not shedding a lot of tears for Mandela. He was offered freedom from prison in the 80s if he would agree to leave violence out of his reform platform. He chose to stay in jail. Okay Jonn, if I got too far off you can strike my comments. If you do could you do a thread for the president going to send off Mandela, so I can rant?

Its okay, we have John Kerry leading the way to improve relations with those terrorist organizations.

I guess it could be worse, he could be SECDEF, right?
