Kimberly Rivera update
We’ve discussed Kimberly Rivera before. She joined the Army during the Iraq war because her husband and she weren’t making it while they were both working at Walmart, where they met, and living in her parent’s basement, so he decided that she join the Army, because he was too obese to make the entrance requirements. So she joined and *surprise!* she got deployed. When she came home on mid-tour leave, they packed up their kids, left behind the leather sofa they’d bought with her bonus check and moved to Canada. She started popping out babies to solidify her claim to remain in Canada as a refugee from US justice, but the Canadians got tired of supporting her growing family and deported the family and she was promptly sent to jail.
Now, she’s given birth to her fifth child, and her supporters, the stank-ass hippies, are protesting because she’s separated from her newborn child, according to the Colorado Springs Gazaette;
Kimberly Rivera’s newborn son, Matthew, is not receiving breast milk because Rivera is not allowed to keep him with her at Naval Consolidated Brig Miramar in San Diego, where she’s being held, according to her civilian lawyer, James Branum.
Rivera is being allowed to express milk via a hand pump for medical reasons but is not allowed to save and refrigerate the milk for her son, Branum said Sunday via phone.
Rivera, with Fort Carson’s 4th Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, pleaded guilty to two counts of desertion at an April 29 court-martial at the post. Then pregnant with her fifth child, she was sentenced to 10 months of confinement and a bad conduct discharge.
Yeah, it should be no surprise to anyone that she’s in jail and her lawyer is James Branum – all of his clients end up in jail. Branum has his own category of posts at TAH because he’s been so successful at destroying soldiers’ lives with his poor legal advice. So basically, they all deserve him. Rivera popped out babies to stay in Canada, and now she’s popping them out to get out of serving her jail sentence. They should put her under the jail.
It’s bad enough that we’re going to get to support her five kids for their entire lives, but, women’s right people need to sit and down with her and get it through her thick skull that she’s not doing them any favors.
Thanks to John for pointing to this article for us.

She plead guilty, only got ten months and is bitching still? Send her ass back to Canada when her 10 months are up. Half her brood is Canadian now anyhow, let them pay for her skank ass.
Teh Stoopid is strong in the smelly hippies.
As for Rivera………….the bitch needs to serve her sentence. Of course, she will immediately be put on welfare, since she won’t be able to get a job with that Big Chicken Dinner hanging around her neck. We will be paying for more than her kids; we will be paying for her. So we got that going for us, which is nice.
Forced Sterilization should be legal.
The part that sucks is the fact we the taxpayer are going to be on the hook for raising her brood of anchor babies.
And their kids, and their kids, and their kids…fuck, I need a drink.
Once a Servicemember, soon to be just another welfare flunkie. A self-inflicted wound if I ever saw one!! Canada doesn’t allow Americans with felony convictions to enter, this might keep her out of Canada, thus we American taxpayers will be stuck with the tab for keeping her fat and pregnant!!
Canada was smart in sending us back our own trash. We’ll be paying for those 5 crumb snatchers to adulthood and probably beyond.
When she enlisted, wasn’t there a decent chance of being separated from her kids had she stayed in? Pretty sure there are women in the Army who have to be separated from their kids all the time.
And THIS, ladies and gentlemen, is why you don’t enlist with three dependents, at least not without a hell of a lot of waiver paperwork.
Why was she allowed to enlist with so many dependents? My Grandpa, who was only 35 was turned down as a volunteer in WORLD WAR TWO for having too many dependents.
Given her age, the taxpayers will be supporting her for another 40 to 50 years. Obamacare will keep her healthy and even pay for more of her maternity needs. What a country!
@3 ChipNASA Could not have said it better. If you can’t do anything but breed and go on welfare, then I think we should start talking sterilization as hard as we talk birth control and hand out condoms. Screw the hippies and liberals that are all about having all the kids you want but not if you are dumping them in the system for me, you and all other taxpayers to support for decades to come. Then the kids will be the next generation of entitled system suckers.
Perhaps Ms. Rivera didn’t understand that being a fugitive makes the likelihood of seeing your children every day very remote when you are finally brought to justice. Her child doesn’t get to breast feed, well whoop-de-doo…how many kids don’t get to see their parents at all because their parents died when they did their duty instead of deserting and going AWOL to Canada?
Those are the kids I feel genuine sympathy for and those are the kids who deserve to be considered.
The children of criminal are also victims of their parents misdeeds, for that I am sorry for those children that they had the misfortune to be born to such people. The lessons for her children should be that parents should honor their responsibilities to their families by honoring their commitment to the job, whether that job is the military or civilian employment. Those children would have an honorable veteran for a mother had their mother just done the right thing, instead those children will see their mother as a dishonorable shirker who left others to carry her load when she deserted her brethren and fled the country.
@11–there used to be a time where people actually believed and lived by the maxim of, “Can’t feed ’em? Don’t breed ’em!”
@13: Yeah, but that was before LBJ’s “Great Society” and the era of no personal responsibility.
Did Branum ever have a client that hasn’t gone to jail? Rivera thought that she’d be the exception to the rule?
You folks may have heard this, but I think it applies to this story, too.
She can’t go back to Canada legally — she is now a convicted felon! But since she doesn’t follow the rules anyway, she’ll probably be there before long. And other mothers in military jails have been able to make arrangements to have their breast milk stored — she’s just trying to get more sympathy.
If Manning had his sex change, he/she should be in there with her?
Right?
The La Leche League always has a way to get breast milk to women who can’t nurse their babies, for whatever reason. This is totaly bogus.
@10, Cacti, not only that, the 0bamites running the show will make her and her leech offspring a higher priority than us working people so that democrat voters will proliferate like cockroaches!
