Friday Morning Feel Good Stories
Chief Tango sends us our feel good morning coffee stories. The first is from Minnesota where a 75-year-old confronted two men in his home;
When they arrived the homeowner told deputies that two males had entered the residence in an apparent robbery attempt. The elderly man said at least one of the suspects were armed with a handgun and confronted him.
The man said he was able to retrieve a handgun and shot the armed suspect who died at the scene. The second suspect fled from the scene on foot.
Pine County Deputies searched the area for the second suspect with help from the Minnesota State Patrol helicopter but were unable to locate him. Law enforcement believes he fled the home on foot and escaped in a vehicle that was parked nearby. The search for that man is ongoing at this time.
There were apparently four people involved in the attempt to turn their lives around and one is on the morgue table.
The second story comes from Mississippi where a convenience store owner emptied his gun into a poor guy who was just turning his life around;
According to investigators, the gunman entered a Get and Go convenience story early Monday morning outside Bassfield in Jefferson Davis County on Highway 42 and demanded money.
The armed robber shot the store owner in the leg before all the money had been handed over. Authorities say the gunman then walked outside and returned to get the rest of the cash, but by that time the owner had managed to get a gun. When the gunman approached, the owner shot the robber at least 11 times.
Jefferson David County Coroner Jimmy Slater said he found at least 10 bullet holes created by a 9mm handgun.
See, you should all buy .45s – it won’t take 10 rounds to put down one of these fine young citizens.

These stories are always a great way to start the day
I’m confused about size, here.
Is the size of the bad boy in inverse proportion to the size of the ammo required to correct his behavior?
True, it would not take 10 rounds with a 45 ACP but the satisfaction would be 1/2 that of a high capacity 9mm
Funny how our boy Joey the rock climbing socialist is nowhere to be found on these threads.
Whazza matta, Joey? Hate it when someone takes up your challenge and shows what a complete and utter douchetool you are?
@3: How about the high velocity TCM 22 round? That bad boy comes out of the end of the pistol at about 2000 fps and with that 40 gr. jhp, it should do a good job of rearranging vital organs on a bad guy.
The original TCM 22 pistol was a 17+1 capacity double stack 1911, so you could hammer the bad guys and still have enough left over to take care of the squirrels in the tree.
10 hits, 11 shots?
That’s much better shooting that the typical “professional” law enforcement officer seems to be capable of. Particularly after already taking one himself.
Hollow points.
He ought to rename the shop from “Get and Go” to “My Gun and You’re Gone.”
@4 We haven’t seen Joey in awhile. He either fell off his rock or crawled under it.

Somebody shoots me in the leg when I’m doing what I’ve been ordered to do, I’d shoot them a few extra times out of pure frustration myself.
He would have shot him more times, but he probably only had a ten round mag with one in the pipe.
@10 – like the police shootout a while back in which they asked the sheriff how come the suspect was shot 38 times and he responded “because we ran out of ammo.”
