KC Mom hands son over to police
In the polar opposite of the events to which we’ve grown accustomed in recent years, Michael Bray’s mom caught him on the TV news in a video shot while he was robbing a veteran along with several of his friends. She marched his ass to the local police station and turned him in. Here’s the video from KCTV;
Bray’s mother took him on Friday to the Kansas City Police Department’s Center Patrol Station. She told officers that she recognized her son from news footage and had confronted him about it. She said he admitted his involvement, according to court documents.
According to court documents, Bray confessed to the crime after detectives agreed to work out a plea deal for him with prosecutors. He allegedly gave the handgun to someone else after the robbery to avoid getting caught.
Good on Mom in a time when we’re used to seeing criminals’ family members declaring on the TV news “He didn’t do nuthin'” “He’s a good boy” “He’s not capable of doing that”. This is refreshing.

That’s a “turning your life around” story we don’t hear about too often.
Like eff’n vultures flocking to a carcass. A plea deal? F that. The little bastard pulled a gun and leveled it at the victim. He and his fellow POS then entered the home and robbed the victim. No applause here. As far as I know, she got him to the police just before they got to him. Bastards.
I saw this on the news here at work and just had to share that with you guys. There are still great parents out there. When I was stationed at Schofield Barracks we had a kid go AWOL. He bumed around on the beach until he ran out of money. After he called his mom for money she flew to Hawaii, snatched up her son, drug his ass back to Battalion, and turned him in.
All of these thugs look like Obama’s sons.
Mom did the right thing, and she’ll pay for it, too. There are people in every family that believe you don’t “snitch” on family, no matter what they’ve done. I admire her — and feel sorry for her.
The boot up his ass came a bit late, but at least momma put it up there, THEN turned his ass in.
@6. Well, we don’t know that. She has not been interviewed. It could be that what we’re assuming is that she did the right thing BUT it could well be that she did what was best for him. The Veteran was beaten and robbed by sonny boy and others on Sunday. On Tuesday, a gang of the little SOBs hit his house again. There are videos for both robberies. They were plastered all over the news and calls were coming in ID’ing the thugs. Mom could have said, “I know it’s you. Half the twon knows it’s you–or they will now that you and your buds are on TV. Let’s go to the police. Maybe they’ll cut a deal.” Hey, my speculation is just as good as the one putting a halo around the mother of the 18-year old (!) lil shaver.
Not a bad analogy Air Cav. Probably spot on for saying “They are going to find you, let’s turn yourself in and they’ll cut a deal.” She probably also thought there was a decent chance he’d be killed if he ran from the police, as they knew he was armed. I spose it’s a little of both. He deserves a long stay anyhow

Whatever mitigating factors there may have been, still, she did the correct thing. Too bad that is so uncommon that it is noteworthy.
