Pakistani Taliban’s demands to precede peace talks
The Pakistani Taliban is making demands of the Pakistani govenment before they’ll take a seat at the peace talk table, according to the Associated Press;
“The Taliban have been deceived in the past in the name of peace, so the government will have to take some steps before the start of talks to assure the Taliban that the government is serious about the peace process,” Shahid told The Associated Press by telephone from an undisclosed location.
The government must release Pakistani Taliban militants it is holding prisoner and show that it is withdrawing soldiers from the tribal region along the border with Afghanistan, said Shahid.
“If the government does not take these two steps, the peace process cannot go forward,” said Shahid.
If the government accepts this proposal, they should force the Taliban or the Haqqani Network to release Bowe Berdahl, the American Army sergeant being held by one of the two terror groups.

THEY have been deceived in the name of peace? Since when? Also, if Pakistan does give up its one bargaining chip, what will keep Alibaba from simply blowing up the peace talks and claiming that it was the will of Allah or some other horse shit?

If anyone thinks the Taliban talks re: peace with Pakistan are about anything other than getting their hands on the Paki nuke arsenal, and possibly India’s nukes, too, in the long run, think again.
India and Pakistan have had nuke missilies aimed at each other for decades.
