Chelle Lynne Anderson-Tesla; Civil Air Patrol liar
The other day,an alert reader noticed that Chelle Lynne Anderson-Tesla had been profiled in a news report where she was again spreading the lies about her Purple Heart and her brain injury from a helicopter crash in Iraq. Of course, we’d already proven that was a lie. We contacted the reporter, Surae Chinn, at WUSA9 in DC and told her about how she had been duped. Ms. Chinn was furious. At first she was so mad she wanted to ambush Tesla, or whatever name she’s going by now, with a TV crew, but instead, she and I Skyped an interview and she contacted what’s-her-name by phone. Well, here’s the story that went on the television station tonight;
Ms. Chinn said that what’s-her-name told her during the initial interview in the original story that Tesla was suffering from PTSD because she’d been across the street from the Hasan shooting at Fort Hood, so her lies were growing. Now maybe she’ll stop, but then again, maybe not.
Chelle Anderson did return Surae Chinn’s call. Anderson says she has no military records to dispute what the Pentagon says. She also says she is not ready to make a statement on the record. Federal law does not see ‘stealing valor’ as a crime.
But some lawmakers are introducing bills similar to the Stolen Valor Act that was overturned by the Supreme Court, to make people accountable.
Surae Chinn: “In simple terms, My photographer and I were duped. We apologize for that. Our credibility takes a hit. I’m disappointed, mainly at myself for not checking. Now, I know you ask for someone’s military papers, there ‘DD2-14.’
I commend Surae Chinn for making this right so quickly and I really don’t blame her at all. She was doing a great story about setting something right and she really had no reason to suspect Anderson-Tesla-whatever, and there was no need for Tesla to bring up her lies to make the story about her instead of what she was doing. Ms. Chinn was absolutely professional in her conduct, and I sent her my DD214 so she knows what one looks like now. But, she wasn’t the first reporter we’ve seen this happen to, and she probably won’t be the last, either.

People never learn. They seem to think that sites like TAH or Guardians of Valor or any other site isnt watching to check if anyone is going to call them out on their lies. I dont even expect her to apologize for her lies. She is sick and needs help.
Hey-ooo… I’ll take the “alert reader” title lol. There are a lot of those on this site. Posers should know we don’t miss things like that. I go through once a month and google every poser on here for new info or stories and I know others do, as well. Keep trying, but you will get caught eventually. Now, Bustamante should be next.

@Ed Bustamante is a continuining topic over at Stolen Valor. Seems they have over 40 different people reporting things on him that he keeps on doing.
Tesla person just made the deadly mistake of thinking nobody was watching her anymore since its been nearly a year after her first set of lies failed her. I also think she will reemerge elsehwere telling more lies.
Surprised she hasnt come to this site to defend herself.

@5: I originally called Bustamante out about a year and a half ago. When he wouldn’t admit to lying, I turned it over to Stolen Valor and a few others. It went crazy after that. I am glad to see that it has paid off, finally. There is a reporter in San Antonio who is doing a huge, in-depth story about him in the next couple of weeks. I have been advising him on how to handle it and where to get the info, copies of documents, etc. Bustamante is one I will really be glad to see go down. Spent a lot of time on him lol
I can’t wait to see her excuses- if she even gives any. i am sure she will play the victim somehow.

But if you’re fucking POS famewhore who has to lie about your service, and desperately crave attention, by all means, call the local news.

@Ed yeah I remember seeing it on there when it first came out. About time someone done a piece of him. Because his lies are building up at a fast rate and still telling people ridiculous stories apparently. Even after being kicked out of that MC.

In the reporter’s defense, the topic of the story was centered around the subject of the torn flag that needed to be replaced. Tesla herself was just supposed to be a byline, a “vet” just pointing out something. As often happens the poser made sure they had a chance to spread their bullshit story,, as sort of a byline. Tesla camoflauged her asshattery within the storyline, Luckily the attention-monger got caught and called out.

Exactly. I ran into the same situation about 1o years ago, except it wasn’t an Apartment complex, it was an Individual’s home. The flag in question had been up for a while. It was an older neighborhood, with the houses all being built in the 1950s. Though not run down some of the houses were a bit better maintained then others. I noticed the flag getting more and more frayed and faded. It started to bother me. I happened to have a flag that was given to me through a charity I donated to. One Saturday myself and my young son took the flagto the house and talked to the owner’s wife. We replaced the flag for her and she thanked us profusely. Turns out they were an older couple and he ( retired Air Force) had been in declining health for about 6 months. Since he had gotten Sick he wasn’t able to do anything around the house and was pretty much bedridden. She wasn’t much better off, and probably wouldn’t have even noticed if we hadn’t offered to help her.
You see something like that just point it out and help fix it, no need to beat the drum and call the news out.
I’m betting Tesla never even contacted the management, she went straight to the TV station with the complaint, ensuring she got a chance to get her twinkie-stuffed Giblet-jawed face on TV.
Chinn could have overlooked the matter. In fact, she could have reported only that the tattered flag was replaced. Instead, she took it on the chin–so to speak. I am now a fan of hers and believe that the next time a mil story comes to her, she’ll be calling Jonn (a wise thing to do) or checking herself with a FOIA request. By the way, streesweeper is famous. I saw his name in the shot of the TAH comments.

Looks like “Chelle” here forgot “the rules” for attention whoring:
Rule #1: if you’re looking for publicity, don’t piss off a reporter.
Rule #2: the quickest way to piss off a reporter is to lie to them and make them look like a fool.
Rule #3: reporters have the proverbial “bully pulpit” and will use it to get even if you break rules 1 and 2.

Congrats to her for stepping up to the plate immediately and making it right and to you, Jonn, for helping her get there. Too often when a media person is wrong about the story they just ho-hum it away and issue a statement no-one see’s.
I do have one problem with her. She forgot the first rule of journalism. 2, independent sources for a story. As a Vet like many others on this sight coming from a line of vets stretching back over 200yrs it never occured to me until I started reading this blog that someone would lie about this stuff either but she as a professional journalist should have checked out the person she was talking to before airing the story.
Ms. Chinn deserves accolades for taking a hit and then coming back to fix it. Well done, ma’am.

I’m glad Ms. Chinn is an honest, honorable person. She has been forthright and open about being duped, she has explained she understand what to ask for next time and I have no reason to doubt her sincerity.
I think folks like her don’t know to suspect liars regarding military service initially. I also suspect they are uncomfortable casting doubt by asking for substantiating paperwork, now that she is aware honest veterans can back up their words with documentaion I suspect she will never be duped this way again.

@30- Spot on, Hondo. Crotchrot is a definite contender with his Marky-associated scumbaggery, but Blake’s comment section antics are going to be tough to beat.
The record is clear: Chippendale, Snake Eyes, Driveway, Impaler… all scumbags, but all with relatively minor ramifications to their fakery when compared to folks like Heavy Drop, who could’ve killed people with his fakery. The difference came down to comment section performance. Hell, Wittgenfeld took home the gold in last year’s tourney due solely to his idiotic comments, and all he did was fake an award or two.
Tesla needs to put in her time here at TAH with lawers and threats of ass-beatings that will never materialize if she wants to have a chance. Maybe Jimmy Quinn can stop by to improve her odds?

I think I figured out why she has attached Tesla to her back name. She probably heard or read something about Nikolai Tesla, the Serbian immigrant who invented a lot of electrical and mechanical stuff that we simply take for granted now, and decided she should attach herself to him for an extra bit of ‘femme fame’.
