Armando H. Diaz; the Korea/Vietnam SEAL
Back in February, we questioned Armando Diaz’ service in this photo at an immigration rally in Austin, TX;
A larger copy of the photo is at this link. Of course, Don Shipley told us that Armando wasn’t a SEAL, today Mary sends us the FOIA that she applied for at the time, and the National Personnel Records Center says “Who?”
Like I said, Armando was demanding immigration reform and I’m demanding stolen valor reform.

An old, gnarly, slimy turd.
Looks like use the Philly Mag stylebook for verifcation and corroboration. First, the reporter notes “VN and Kor Vet!” Then the reporter verifies, thusly: “Really?” When the subject says “Yes”, that’s that.
HUH? He’s wearing US Military insignia at a political rally, and it turns out to be a poser, PERISH THE THOUGHT!!

Honestly I wouldn’t put it past some libtards community organizer barrowing some alzheimers resident and throwing some mil shit on him for credibility photo op.
Or some member of the liberal media seeking to further their political/editorial agenda!
The dude is wearing a VFW cap. Does the VFW not vette applicants, like maybe a copy of a 214?
@6 I should hope so.
Years ago, my mom wanted to join the VFW Women’s Auxilliary through my father’s WWII service. We couldn’t find his discharge papers and all we could get was a copy of the dates he entered and was discharged. The man at the VFW said no deal as that didn’t prove he was overseas.
I hate these posers.
@ #6: Yeah, they do. At least the ones with which I have been associated. Of course, that doesn’t prove that every post does it every time – even though there is a block to tick that says you have done so.
As to the wearing of a VFW cap for political purposes – that is a violation of the rules. But, if no one is around to complain, it happens.
