SPLC sees a plot afoot…again

| March 6, 2013

I guess that money is drying up among the Southern Poverty Law Center’s contributors, because they see an opportunity to incite fear among their adherents. Old Trooper sends us a link to CNN while I was reading one from USAToday in regards to SPLC’s fundraising in the media.

Of course, their whole point is that “hate groups” are on the rise. But the only thing that’s really “on the rise” is SPLC’s lowering of the criteria for including groups as Hate groups. Remember that a gunman tried to force his way into the innocuous Family Research Council in downtown DC last year because the SPLC had included them on the “Hate Map“. But of course, the reason “hate groups” are on the rise is because folks are racists (from their report);

The resurgence of the Patriot movement, as well as the broader radical right, has been fueled by the election of America’s first black president, the troubled economy and non-white immigration.

Yeah, that’s the easy answer. Or it could be because a number of people in this country are ideologically opposed to this president irrespective of the melanin levels in his skin.

The SPLC found there were 1,360 Patriot groups in 2012 – an 813 percent rise since 2008, the year before Obama took office. The groups include 321 militias. These numbers far exceed the movement’s peak in the 1990s, when militias were inflamed by the 1993 Brady Bill and the 1994 assault rifle ban.

The SPLC also found that hate groups remained at a near-record level of 1,007 groups in 2012, a slight drop from the 1,018 groups documented in 2011.

Oh, wait, the number of hate groups, as the SPLC defines them has dropped? Then what the hell are we talking about? Actually, the two hate groups that SPLC had on their map last year near my house are gone now. So why isn’t the story about how there are fewer hate groups now than there were a year ago? Some of the groups they list in DC on the “Hate Map” are Masjid Al-Islam – Islamist separatists – and the Nation of Islam – black separatists.

Of course, because they correctly predicted the Oklahoma bombing (using the blind squirrel and stopped clock method), they’re still clinging to that as their raison d’etre. Remember their scare mongering over the Hutarees? They were supposed strike fear in us – they could barely strike a pose. The Hutarees were bunch of gapped-tooth, mouth breathing retards. And, oh, none of the serious charges stuck to any of them. Mark Potok probably could have rounded them up all by himself.

From the CNN link;

“We are seeing a huge reaction to the potential for gun control, and that reaction is so angry that it’s hard not to be afraid of what’s coming down the road,” said Mark Potok of the SPLC.

Yeah, well, being a gun owner doesn’t make us racist or a hate group. I think it’s pretty comical that the SPLC sees right-wing violence everywhere, but they turned away at the Occupy violence last year. The CNN article mentions a couple of incidences of “anti-government” plots, but one day at an Occupy rally one could see more broken laws.

The SPLC is no different from the labor unions. Having long outlived any usefulness that it may have once had, it exists now solely for the purpose of maintaining cash flow. In order justify the cash flow, it must have boogey men.

The SLPC (Southern Prepostrious Lie Center) is to vigilant groups as much as the Westboro church is to Baptists.

Follow the money.

Byte Stryke

apply the same requirements to get a voter registration cards as is required to get a weapons permit and see who starts screaming “UNFAIR!”

Racist my ***, its convenient bigotry on the part of the SPLC.

Ain’t paranoid conspiracy fun?

Isn’t it interesting how a word that means ‘strongly supportive of your country’ or ‘cultural attachment to one’s homeland’ can be twisted into something abhorrent by a bunch of useless lawyers who see their necessity going down the toilet?

Quick!!! Let’s stir up the populace against people who love their country!!! Let’s do a witch hunt for people who have a cultural attachment to their homeland!! Let’s vilify the innocent and make them guilty of nothing!! There’s not much time left!! We could lose our office for nonpayment of rent!!

Gack!

“We are seeing a huge reaction to the potential for gun control, and that reaction is so angry that it’s hard not to be afraid of what’s coming down the road.” I see the same reaction. He’s talking about the leftards and their seething frustration and high-octane vitriol in seeking to slice and dice the 2nd Amendment right?

The only thing on the rise is the level of idiocy among these buffoons.

Well, do any of you remember back in January when Danny Glover – he of Lethal Weapon fame — appeared at Texas A&M University and said the 2nd amendment was written to preserve slavery?

http://news.yahoo.com/lethal-weapon-actor-tells-students-second-amendment-intended-051717897.html

He also said the USA is not a nice place to live, using words that would normally provoke a lot of anger in most of us, because they are not true.

I guess if you can’t have your own way all the time, you tend to see enemies everywhere.

There is a thing called “self-fulfilling prophesy.”

I guess SPLC keeps hoping that if they play that tune enough, somebody will dance to it.

PN, the more I hear of these loud noises erupting from that weird corner of the world, the more I begin to think that these people are creating their own demise.

It seems like it’s one thing after another with them. Maybe I notice it more, because it’s collected here and more focused, but some of the silly, and potentially libelous, remarks that people like the SPLC are making are almost like signs of desperation. They act as though they don’t realize that the dumdems won this time around.

It’s getting curiouser and and curiouser.

Folks in America, having lost the capacity to know through scholarship, depend on SPLC and other groups to watch out for hate. The SPLC abuses that service by calling everything a hate group.

A quick look across the Pond at Italy, Greece, Hungary, and Germany – where no-shit fascists are attaining political power legally; and across the rest of Europe where fascists are making huge inroads due to the economic and social deterioration.

America does not look like that because of its conservatives. Not that Obama and the SPLC aren’t trying their best to criminalize liberty.

Common Sense

We have our own “patriotic hate group” – my family.

We HATE how the Left is dismantling our country.
We HATE how the Left is destroying the Constitution.
We HATE how the Left is taking away our rights.
we HATE how Congress and the White House is spending our hard earned money and that of our children and grandchildren.

Funny how the left so easily redefined “patriotism” and now equates them to “racists”, simply because they don’t support the president. The issue with that, (for me at least) is that if an employee isn’t working to my standards, then he/she should get fired. Ideologically, I don’t support him either because of what he (and his kind) are doing to this country.

In terms of all the gun-control rhetoric, I think (but hope its not) a preamble to more of our rights being taken away where we become powerless against our government (when it wasn’t designed that way). The fact that the U.S. Attorney General has eluded that drones could be used on American soil (and the fact that it even came up) is worrisome – what, with “due process” and all that out the window?

What’s next? The “SS” coming by my house to confiscate my guns and make sure my papers are in order?

SPLC = 2 guys with a fax machine.

This kinda reminds me of the air and water pollution numbers in San Diego as reported in the local newspaper. There are people who regular hissy-fits over the pollution in San Diego. Now, this always leads me to wonder where the samples are taken, because San Diego’s weather pattern is dominated by ocean breezes that sweep across the land. The prevailing weather system is ideal for sweeping away the automobile exhaust that admittedly exists. I know this, because I read the newspaper and see the particulates and pollen testing on a daily basis. The air here is very good. But you wouldn’t know that from what the greenies try to tell you.

Then one day, I saw these bad-looking water pollution numbers. I was really surprised by them, because they were so large. Then I realized they were being reported in parts per billion, not the parts-per-million that is used for setting standards. Oh. Never mind.

What we are seeing are government workers trying to preserve their jobs, after their jobs are done.

EX-PH2

Just how does the SPLC define ‘hate group’?

Aside from the KKK and the various neo-Nazi bunch, I mean.

Just an Old Dog

SPLC are nothing more than another breed of Ambulance Chasers, with the exception that they swoop down any time there is an incident that can remotely be thought of as Racist. They won a multi-million dollar lawsuit against Tom Metzger and WAR some years ago. Whats fascinating is that up until WAR Renamed itself a representative of SPLC was at their Mailbox every day to get 50% of the “donations” and “fees” they collected. Some of it went to the family of the victim in the case, the rest went into their lawyer’s pockets.

#15, the SPLC, like most left-wingers, views anyone who doesn’t agree with Obama and his agenda as a hater, using the “RAAAAACISM” charge. Their slander that inspired a lib to go shoot up the FRC didn’t stop them, becaue it looks like the SPLC wants to inspire more violent left wingers to attack conservative groups with their “Hate Groups List.”

EX-PH2

Oh, then I can be my own personal hate group because I think Bo is a dip.

“We are seeing a huge reaction to the potential for gun control, and that reaction is so angry that it’s hard not to be afraid of what’s coming down the road,”

Well yeah, Potok, you fucking mouth-breathing, sister-fucking, booger-eating ri-tard. People tend to get a little pissy when you start fucking with their rights–even the ones which might make you a bit uncomfortable.
