Christopher Dorner’s military records

I’ve seen news footage of the LA Police Department this morning and it looks like an old West fort. Snipers on the roof of the building and officers patrolling the sidewalk with scary black rifles and body armor. I guess they’re worried. If he operates like he writes, they should be.

After having an officer killed in what looks to them like an ambush, not to mention the others, will make you a little over reacting. He also said he was going to keep killing untill he gets “cleared”.

However the way the LAPD is describing this guy does not make sense ( not that the chief has not exaggerated on other things, missile launchers come to mind). I can’t understand how the LAPD is portraying him as this massively trained individual. He was only a cop for less than two years according to the dates he gives in his “manifesto”. He was terminated on 6/08 after being hired on 2/05 with a year on active duty starting 7/06 ending in 7/07. He writes he just got off probation when he was fired for the incident in 8/07.

What specialized weapon and tactical training does the LAPD give its rookies? In my old department you were lucky to get off a foot post in that time frame. In his own writings he admits to making complaints about other officer starting in his academy training so I can see he probably had a great reputation that was preceding him, when he graduated.

Since coming from the Army I have no idea what small arms training he had received in the Navy but on a marksman rating with a rifle can’t be that great. Maybe someone could give more information of what type of training would he receive as a Naval reservist in that MOS.

The news media as usual does not help I heard one of them state that in the Big Bear area it was going down to the 20’s so the suspect would have a hard time surviving in the open.

@51 – Or he’s gone on a ‘Rambo binge’ and it’s all everyone else’s fault.

Maybe a little bit of gloating on my part. And snickering.

Just an Old Dog

Update, socal news reports he’s been spotted near Barstow and its believed he is headed for his residence in Las Vegas in a white Lexus.

Scouts Out

Wake me up for the sequel when we send him into Iraq on photo taking mission.

Hondo

For what it’s worth: looks like the LA Times put up his full manifesto now, albeit with most names redacted.

http://documents.latimes.com/christopher-dorner-manifesto/

Guess they finally figured out they were looking stupid as hell trying to censor out the last half when multiple other outlets were running the whole thing.

Just an Old Dog

Noticing his Service record and lack of awards it puts me in mind of more than a few officers I met in my career who were just plain fugged up and the unit hid them as special project officers where they had no command or large responsibility until they could unload them on some other command.

Just an Old Dog

update to update ,,, the Barstow lead was a dead end/false.

kp32

ex-LCDR; I had read that he was IRR his last two years, from the record above, it looks like three. It’s unusual to get promoted while in the IRR, though possible (for officers).

He also states in his manifesto that LAPD cost him his Navy career, inferring security clearance issues.

Just an Old Dog

Apparently they found some tracks in the snow leaving his vehicle. Odds are he will end up a frozen shit-cicle withing 24 hours.

Scouts Out

You know this guy wasnt Army because if he’s in Barstow he’d be heading towards Ft. Irwin looking to hunt down the people in charge of Class IV detail.

SJ

@61: had to look up Class IV since it has been awhile…Class VI is the one I’m most familiar with.

David

@62…. Amen!

MAJMike

Wowzers! Guess I did it wrong. When I got passed over for O-5, I just took my retirement and went back to teaching High School History. Didn’t shoot anybody, left service on a Friday and was in the classroom the following Monday.

Go figure.

Some A**holes have now put up a support page….
I reported it to FB

David

News reports keep saying he has an aresenal including assault weapons. Thought you were not allowed to own them in the People’s Republic of California?

PavePusher

If I was a true CT nutter, I’d say that his termination from the police was due to telling the truth in a cover-up of police brutality, and that he knows too much about something else as well, so they’ve framed him up as a lunatic in order to have an excuse to kill him.

But I’m not, so I won’t.

But seriously, that movie script practically writes itself from this incident. Weird….

MCPO NYC USN (Ret.)

This crappy former Navy officer was just a marginal performer at best. He bounced around from unit to unit. Never settled in. His deployment was one that tens of thousands made and were awarded for performance. He has no personal awards. In LE we call that a clue. He was a problem before the Navy and LAPD. He was clearly bad news in Navy and LAPD. He is bad news now.

My prediction stands about his fate.

Order a pine box and reserve a plot in potters field.

The Dude

@67 I am sure he was fired for exposing police corruption, the vast majority of cops and police departments are crooked and it sounds like his police brutality claim had some merit there was at least one other eye witness that saw the cop kicking that individual.

Hondo

The Dude: source? What I’ve raid leads me to believe the only witnesses to the incident were the two cops, three hotel employees, and the guy who was supposedly kicked.

The guy who was supposedly kicked is a mental case and was having issues that day. From what I’ve read, the 3 hotel employees’ accounts all supported the other cop.

The guy who was supposedly kicked’s father did not witness the incident. His statement in support of his son was based on what his son told him after he was released from custody.

Not saying you’re wrong or calling you a liar – and I wasn’t an eyewitness, so I obviously don’t know anything but what I’ve read. If you’ve seen something different, please post a link. Others here will want to read it too.

The Dude

i read it somewhere earlier this afternoon let me see if i can find it, that might be hard i just got done smoking a monster roach so i am kind of flying right now

A Proud Infidel

#71, Did you even make it to the sixth grade before you dropped out of school and started drawing welfare?

77 11C20

At least he is honest.

The Dude

@71 I didn’t start drawing welfare until after I got out of the Army.. I finished high school and have some college credits but I still like to hang out on campus to engage in intellectual conversation with students.. I do live off of unemployment and my va disability

Redacted1775

Seems local media edited parts of his manifesto praising Obummer and condemning the NRA. Go figure. No hiding it libtards, this is one of your own. Guess that’s why so many of your whackjob sheep think his actions are acceptable…

d. Scoring for the Navy Handgun Qualification Course. For
scoring, use “K” values on the B-21 target or the regular
printed values on the transition targets II. If the grease mark
of the bullet (not the tear caused by the bullet) is located in
the scoring areas of the target, or touches the outside of a
higher scoring ring, the higher value shall be counted.

People like The Dude are what make people like Cyber Bully actually kind of have a point…..that’s sad.

MCPO SNOW USN (Ret.)

When I read posts from guys like The Dude … I feel good about myself!

C2/2000AF

You would be surprised with how many Dorner apologist are lurking on Facebook right now. All the nut conspiracy theorist are out saying he is the truth and that he will unlock the key to LAPD corruption.

Serously? This guys motive is to kill a policemens daughter. But I guess other corrupt officers set him up by killing all these people and they wrote that manifest in his blood…

USMCE8Ret

@71 – Did you finally land and find that article you were going to post here? It’s been about 6 hours now, and like Hondo said, some of us would like to read that.

Ex-PH2

@82 – USMCE8, don’t hold your breath.

My last job was working for someone who spent her lunch hour getting stoned or crocked. It took her till 5PM to climb down off her high and stop eating the free snacks.

USMCE8Ret

🙂

MCPO SNOW USN (Ret.)

he forgot … remember the roach!

Ex-PH2

Is it unfair to observe that the Doood is a slacker living off of other people’s money? (In regard to unemployment comp.)

noble7277@gmail.com

Dude is messing up his program! Get as many as you can! I’m a felon a illegally convicted felon! My dad was a Sgt major and he called the cops cause I didn’t want to go fight bushes wars! I’m sorry it turned out this way Chris! You did a good job for us! I was born in lundsthul Germany! I hate this stuff to man

C2/2000AF

#87, seriously? Turning this into your own personal battle here because you dodged the war?

Hack Stone

noble7277@gmail.com@87, so when your father “called the cops cause I didn’t want to go fight bushes wars”, what exactly were you charged with? If I knew that you could have someone arrested because they didn’t want to enlist, it sure would have made my time as a recruiter a hell of a lot easier.

AS for the rest of your comment, it only reinforces our belief that you probably would not have qualified for the military. I’m thinking that you were DQed in the moral, mental and physical catagories. Congratulations, you were a trifecta!

MCPO NYC USN (Ret.)

Noble … smoke this!
