Bullet to the Head star supports weapon ban on his audience
So, this utter moron, Sylvester Stallone, thinks that the weapon ban wending it’s way through Congress is a good idea. The guy who has been making violent movies since the 1982 when he pretended to be the epitome of the crazed Vietnam veteran in that movie “First Blood” wants to take weapons out of the hands of perfectly sane, law abiding Americans;
Stallone supported the 1994 “Brady bill” that included a now-expired ban on assault weapons, and hopes that ban can be reinstated.
“I know people get (upset) and go, ‘They’re going to take away the assault weapon.’ Who … needs an assault weapon? Like really, unless you’re carrying out an assault. … You can’t hunt with it. … Who’s going to attack your house, a (expletive) army?”
Yeah, but that’s not even the worst part of this empty-headed moron;
“It’s unbelievably horrible, what’s happened. I think the biggest problem, seriously, is not so much guns. It’s that every one of these people that have done these things in the past 30 years are friggin’ crazy. Really crazy! And that’s where we’ve dropped the ball: mental health,” he said. “That to me is our biggest problem in the future, is insanity coupled with isolation.”
See, the “biggest problem…is not so much the guns…” but let’s take guns from people anyway. Says the guy who has built a career upon pretend-killing scores of people. And I’ll even bet that he wouldn’t blame the violence in our culture, and the part he’s played in that culture over the last 30 years.

Getting advice on gun control from Sylvester Stallone is like getting psychological advice from Dr. Phil.
Sly is mouthing the ignorance of the anti-gun crowd and the low information citizen. People do use “assault weapons” to hunt with (ever hear of hog hunting, Sly, or maybe Coyote hunting, etc.?) and they do use them to protect themselves and their families. Unfortunately, he never learned that in all his shoot em’ up movies, because it wasn’t in the script and he was too busy getting baby oil sprayed on his steroid built arms to bother to get educated.

Stallone makes money with shootemups. Hollywood likes money above all things. If shootemups are the only things making money (and they are, or their LOTR/Hobbit swordfights), Hollywood displays all the integrity of an Actor.

Accountability is should be taught at all levels of the educational system and more importantly at home. Bad parenting or the lack of a father and mother figure leads to an individual making poor choices. Poor choices don’t just result in violence, they result in substance abuse. Their is a certain actor who died recently due to a drug overdose. Perhaps it’s due to his father banging Brigitte Neilson instead of helping raise him.

I’ve always liked Dolly Parton. Her songs struck a chord with me. I used to watch her on Porter Wagoner’s show, when she was beginning to take hold.
When the movie “Rhinestone” was released, I couldn’t figure out what Stallone was doing in it. That wasn’t his ‘style’. Please note, she’s 4’11”, and even wearing spike heels, she’s a little over 5′ tall, about 5’3″. So if you take away the pouffed-up hair, and realize what a tiny thing she is, they got Stallone for that movie because he’s barely seven inches taller than she is and a taller actor would have made her look tinier than she already is. With the pouffed-up hair and heels, they look more nearly on a par.
So then he gets into another movie later on, but this time he’s facing Dolph Lundgren, who is 6’5″. Rocky gets to take down the ‘giant’.
It’s all illusion, Hollywood-style, nothing else, but I do wish those people would stick to their chosen field and keep their opinions in a bottle.
As Paladin noted earlier, didn’t Stallone hide out in Europe during Vietnam? And what was one of his biggest successes at the box office, a story about a deranged Vietnam veteran called Rambo?
It’s like a lot of Hollyweird, be against something unless you can make a buck off of it.
