Iranian rockets for Palestine
While Hezbollah threatens to rain down rockets on Tel Aviv from their bases in Lebanon, the next time Israel tries to defend itself from rockets from Gaza, Fox News and Debka Files report that israeli satellite images show that an Iranian ship heading for Gaza is being loaded with 220 short-range missiles and 50 improved long-range Fajar-5 rockets;
Tehran is sending the fresh supply of disassembled rockets to replenish the stocks its allies, the Palestinian Hamas and Jihad Islami, depleted in their round-the-clock attacks on Israel since Nov. 10.
To throw Israeli surveillance off the trail, the ship started its voyage called Vali-e Asr owned by the Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines, and was quickly renamed Cargo Star and hoisted the flag of Tuvalu. This South Pacific island nation, which lies between Hawaii and Australia, has a tiny population of 11,000, most of them Polynesians. Iran provides most of its revenue since earlier this year when Prime Minister Willy Telavi agreed to register Iran’s entire tanker fleet of 22 vessels to Tuvalu, to help Tehran dodge the US-EU oil embargo.
So, I guess a cease fire, which by the way Palestinians and Iran is calling a great victory for the Gazans, is just a chance to get ready for the next battle in this useless war. Anyone else out there who thinks that Iran’s nuclear efforts are purely for peaceful purposes, raise your hand. Yeah, me neither.

Resupply to Gaza from Iran? Surprise, surprise, surprise.

Depends. If Obama gets 6th Fleet inserted into Israel’s blockade force, then it’s dollars to doughnuts those Iranian ships will reach Gaza with full cargo intact. Part of the cease-fire was a small proviso of America helping Israel with its blockade.
If 6th Fleet is not part of the blockade force (and therefore the gatekeeper to Gaza), then we’ll see some lovely kabuki like the last time (not the Great Code Pink Fleet, that never left port, the Turkish adventurism the year prior).

instead of spending millions on blockades and interdiction, how about putting some pressure on the island? How much revenue can 22 ships’ registration provide? Bribe Tuvalu, get the registration revoked, then intercept the ship on a false-flag charge. If the cargo falls overboard somewhere in the process…. as the French say, c’est dommage.
